Hi, Thank you for your interest in the Sama Handcraft Yoni seat. Although I don't have the exact size of the opening on top of my mind, I can say that it fits well on a regular pot to a 5-gallon pail. There are knobs on the back of the seat to make it secure on almost all sizes on pots and pails. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Peace, Sama
