Kingston Brass KB1602PL Heritage 4-Inch Center set Lavatory Faucet
This is a great faucet. I seem some negative comment on this product from years past. Not so for April 2020. I could not find anything wrong. The installation was simple, the gasket plate for the faucet base and the sink top fit perfect. The faucet handles open and closed with proper alignment. Did not hit or face the back of the sink splash plate. The only thing I can find wrong with this faucet is that it is to pretty and beautiful. Every time I use it, if I splash a little water on it, I must wipe it down with a towel to keep it sparkling. It really is great looking. If you decide to buy this product you will not regret it. Nicely packaged and shipped ahead of time. Well made with a 10-year warrant and dripless spicket or nozzle. In my mind this product was priced right also. Oh, instructions say, no plumbers putty needed for assembly. You will have to buy some Teflon tape if not already handy. Suggestion, you should buy two (2) ea. new supply hoses. You really don't want to go underneath the vanity again.

A Nice Faucet for the Price!
Antique Brass bathroom / plumbing fixtures are hard to find these days. I’ve always thought it was a gorgeous finish, and I hear that it’s making a comeback. (Yay!) For now, however, a decent looking faucet, in Antique Brass, at a fair price, remains fairly elusive. God bless Kingston Brass for taking up the challenge of producing an affordable alternative to the $400 faucets, we Antique Brass aficionados would otherwise have to buy. I’ve seen reviewers laying into Kingston Brass pretty hard, because this thing doesn’t have the feel of a $400 faucet… and I suspect that’s due in large part to the fact that it ISN’T actually a $400 faucet! That’s a bit like buying a Prius and then complaining that it’s not as fast or fun to drive as a Corvette. For those of us remodeling on a budget, however, this faucet is a really nice, lower cost option to have. If you were born and raised on the likes of Kohler, then this faucet may not meet your expectations, but there’s nothing “wrong” with it, per se. I’ve had mine for the better part of a year now, and it still looks great and it continues to function perfectly, despite seeing daily use. Rather than complaining about all of the things this faucet ISN’T, I’d like to talk about what it IS. It is beautifully styled and has a classy, elegant look to it - the pictures hardly do it justice; it’s even prettier when you see it in person. It comes with a matching (finish) pop-up drain, and the whole thing is easy to install yourself, if you’re even slightly handy. I will say that the black plastic gasket that sits between the base of the faucet and the vanity top was just a tiny bit too small. I think another reviewer had that same issue. I got around it by cranking down one side of the faucet finger tight, then (re)positioning the gasket, and finally tightening the other side down. It kept the gasket in place, and it looks fine, as you can see from the pictures. This isn’t a fatal flaw, but it is a bit irritating for the installer. Most people have said that they like the ability of the spout to swing off to one side or the other, but my particular brand of OCD is annoyed if the spout isn’t perfectly centered over the drain, so I don’t like that. I would guess I’m in the minority camp on that feature. From the pictures, you can see that when they’re in the “off” position, my handles do go ever so slightly past the 3:00 and 9:00 shutoff positions - but not enough to bother me. That specific issue seems to be the primary complaint of most negative reviews on this faucet. But there are more good reviews here than bad, so I suspect that: (1) Kingston Brass may have gotten the message from all of the customer complaints / unfavorable reviews, and stepped up their quality control a bit; or (2) by “luck of the draw,” I just happened to NOT get one of the “bad” faucets. No matter, though. If you order one of these, you can check for that problem without having to even install the faucet… When you unbox it, grab the handles and see if you’re able to rotate them past the expected 3:00 and 9:00 stopping points. If so, put it right back in the box and return it. Amazon is good about that sort of thing. Ask them to send you a replacement unit. Chances are that you won’t receive two “duds” in a row, based on the ratio of favorable vs. unfavorable reviews I see. So, we can pick the faucet apart over its shortcomings, when it’s compared against a $400 premium fixture, or we can praise it as being quite a lot of beauty and elegance, for a relatively tiny dribble of money. My vote is for the latter. If you’re tempted by what you see in the pictures, I say buy one. I’m happy with my purchase.

Great Looking Faucet & Easy Install
I installed the Kingston Brass KB1603PL 4 in. Faucet in June 2016. It looks & works great. The installation was very easy, it took less than an hour. This included removing the old faucet & drain stopper, as well as cleaning the area. I really like the movable spout. The spout swings fully left & right. This is handy when rinsing the sink out. The antique brass finish looks as good today as it did coming out of the box.If you're looking for a bathroom faucet w/an antique brass finish, this is a great option.

Dented.
Do not buy. Or else inspect immediately. I bought two a few months ago for a winter project. Discovered both were dented. One only a little in the back, so I used it. But the other is unpresenatble, with a badly dented spout. And sink drain ring that is slightly out of round. I suspect they may be selling blems.Update: Base is not a cast material, but rather a flimsy pressed piece of sheet metal. Installed it and it's LOUD! Also, water tastes funny. Left it running 20 minutes, still tastes funny. Another 10 minutes, still funny. Safe to drink? Who knows.

Great
Nice faucet. A good compromise between old world quality and new world design. Finish and weight of materials is very good. Drain seems a little cheap but plastic construction is now the norm. Install straight forward with provided instructions but strangely no hex tool to attach the levers. Overall, a solid faucet.BTW, the faucet does swivel so it is possible to poor water all over your countertop.

Beautiful & Classy
It is hard to find antique brass finish now but that is what we needed & love this set. Really classy & beautiful. The faucet swivels which I never thought I needed but no problems. We had an incident when removing set from box: a porcelain handle got dropped & cracked So they are fragile before putting in place. Thankfully, we were able to repair with super glue & turn to underside so little crack is not noticeable. Handle with care!

Nearly perfect
I'm always a review reader prior to ordering. Lots of handles are not straight sideways at 3 and 9 o'clock. Mine were perfect. And if they weren't, they look completely adjustable to me, unless I miss the purpose of the set screw and included allen wrench. This looks very well built and is heavier than the faucet it's replacing. Finish is beautiful. You will have some frustration with the plastic gasket that fits beneath the console. Mine, at least, was mis-sized just enough that when the left end rode on it, the right end missed it and sat directly on the sink top, and visa-versa. I finally gave up and tossed it, tightening the metal directly down to the sink top. I'll have to caulk it with clear silicone to prevent any water from squeezing under it and dripping on the floor. Fortunately, only the sloppiest of hand washing could possibly allow that to happen so that may not even be necessary. However, something this nice looking should have parts that fit, so this gets a 4 instead of a 5.

Cheap plastic drain assembly!!!!
Beware of this product!!! the plastic drain from the sink will disintegrate in a few short weeks. Unfortunately it happened a1 week after the return window lapsed or we would be returning our assembly. A very expensive plumbing/repair bill now.
