I bought this for my son who travels extensively and takes his Bible with him. He loves this. The leather is thick and rather stiff, like saddle leather. Not suede! It's got a smooth finish. The zipper is metal and works well. Make sure this will fit your book! There are many sizes of Bibles and covers! His Bible has divider tabs and he bookmarks with Post-It tabs, so the cover needed to a little over-sized to accomodate.Note: the leather is dark, rather masculine looking. It should last forever.I price-shopped this against hand-made offerings and I would have paid more than what I spent ($50) if I had seen it in person. It's the drawback of buying online. I would buy again.

It’s soft and perfect!

The product dimensions are not accurate. The outside of the case is 11.5 x 7.125 inches. There is a large strip of material covering the spine, which decreases the interior width to less than 6.5 inches. While it is a beautiful case and appears to be very well made, it will not work for my study Bible.

The title for this item describes the product as genuine Buffalo leather. I received it and noticed that it seemed cheap and not like real leather. Upon further reading, I noticed that in the description of the product, it says “ Constructed of quality man-made material with the look and feel of real leather”. So it is not real leather. I would not buy this item.

Beautiful and durable Bible Case. I purchased a new Bible and as I have several, I am so delighted to continue my studies with a new slate. I purchased a NKJ Bible with goat skin cover and wanted something that would not only protect my new gift from God, but to be durable and last me a lifetime.I am A big fan of fine leathers and am delighted with this case. It is a little lighter than I thought but that is not an issue, still beautiful. I am currently designing a pattern to tool this beautiful book cover and may darken and stress it to make it look more vintage. However, I do know it will become more beautiful with age...This is a Must Buy, for those who like quality and durability.

My husband used it a few times and took it off his bible, too big for his larger bible and the zipper is thick, loud and hard to use

I purchased this as a gift and had it laser etched with a custom design for my wife. She absolutely loves it and looks forward to using it!

The product is not the size advertised: it said that it was half an inch bigger than a "similar" case that I have ordered before, and (in hindsight) should have ordered again this time as well. A Bible of mine that was swimming in the other case with plenty of room made this one unable to zip up.The "leather" felt cheap, as well as the overall construction. The look of the product differed from the pictures from the company quite a bit as well-- really wish I'd taken a couple pics before returning it now. I'm disappointed that this was my only purchase over the black Friday/ cyber Monday weekend, because it's being returned, and the item I should've bought is no longer on sale.
