PUR Mints | Sugar Free Mints | 100% Xylitol | Vegan, Aspartame Free, Gluten Free & Diabetic Friendly | Natural Peppermint Flavored Mints, 50 Pieces (Pack of 1)

I bought several brands of mints with Xylitol in them (all brands I tried are pictured with the mints under the package – I have included pennies in the pictures to show the size of mints). Below is a short review/description of the mints I tried:PUR Mints Aspartame Free, 100% Xylitol, Tangerine Tango - These mints are excellent! They are the most like Altoids that I tried. They have a strong cooling and mint/fruit taste (they are not as strong as Altoids, but they have a similar consistency/hardness as Altoids). These mints have NO after-taste. These are my favorite mints containing Xylitol! I highly recommend these mints!Spry Gems Mints - These mints are excellent! I purchased these after my dentist recommended trying candy with Xylitol in them (as it is good for your teeth). The Berry flavor is my favorite. These mints are cooling and minty, with a slight sweet “berry” flavor. These mints are not too hard or too soft and chalky. They have NO bad after-taste, and they leave your mouth feeling fresh for a while after the mint is gone. These Spry Gems are much better tasting than the regular Spry Xylitol Mints. I highly recommend these mints (they are among my 2 favorite brands)!Spry Xylitol Mints, Natural Berry Blast – Mints are small and round. The taste is not bad, but the mint or berry is not very strong. These mints are very “smooth” and they have a slight after-taste that I don’t care for. I really like to other Gem Mints by Spry, though. I would purchase these mints again, if other brands were not available, but they are not my favorite.Spry Xylitol Mints, Natural Peppermint – These mints are small, smooth, and round, and like the berry flavor, have an after-taste that I do not care for. I would purchase these mints again, if other brands were not available, but they are not my favorite.ACT Dry Mouth Lozenges Soothing Mint - These mints feel and taste more like a cough drop than a mint. They have a light mint flavor, and they also have a slight after-taste that I don’t care for. I do not recommend these mints, and I would not purchase these mints again.PUR Mints Aspartame Free Peppermint – These mints are excellent! They are the most like Altoids that I tried. The Tangerine flavor is great! I have used PUR Cinnamon gum for dry mouth for some time and enjoy it. I wanted a mint for times when chewing gum was not appropriate. PUR does not make a cinnamon mint, so I chose the Tangerine to try first. The Tangerine flavor is great, the package of 20 is convenient to carry in a purse, and freshens breath as well as helping with dry mouth. PUR mints and gum are made in Switzerland and distributed through Canada. These mints are a little on the pricey side, but they do exactly what I bought them for.

The mints are tasty, provide a fresh breath, and are pretty low cost. The only thing I found crazy is how quickly they disappear but at least they are cheap. For anyone who does not know though, just be careful around dogs and cats as the xylitol in these mints is extremely toxic.

These taste great but it’s kind of like a little package of smarties. You know, those little disc shaped candies that everybody gives out on Halloween. So think of these as really really really expensive smarties and you won’t be disappointed.

I buy these all the time for dry mouth or a tiny treat. Don’t expect the same taste as sugar based mints. Not as sweet. Warning: xylitol is a sugar alcohol that can cause digestive problems in some people. Start with no more than two or three a day, then increase gradually if you want more. Too many cause gas.

If you like spearmint, you will like these mints. When you first open the pouch, they smell very strongly of spearmint. It was so strong, I thought I would end up hating these mints. I'm glad I was wrong. They taste wonderful and have a good texture. Unfortunately, they get a sort of pitted texture while they dissolve, and they dissolve faster than I would like.I got them because I can't chew gum or eat while wearing invisalign trays. They don't satisfy my gum-craving, but they are large enough to feel like I'm snacking on something small.Each pouch also lasts quite a while if you only have one after each meal - which is hard, because they're so good! Overall, I'm very happy with this product.
