I like the printer butttttt I want it to work like a $5000 printer should
I like the form and function of this printer. The product is well packaged and looks great. There was a few picky items such as some of the cable connectors did not have enough slack to make the connections easy to make. But if you are careful and patient its not a really big deal. The first test print looked great and the next few small items went well using the remainder of the small quantity of filament provided by Lulzbot. As i started my first few bigger prints, only a few inches square, projects the quality seem to come and go. But still they wee solid prints just not consistent. I had purchased three printers The Lulzbot, and FLsun QQs and a ender 3 pro for my boys who make movie props and cosplay costumes ad a side hustle. I was sooooo disappointed when both of the other printers, who together cost under $600, put the Lulzbot to shame with its price close to $5000. I didn't give up and tried to clear the cache and make sure the firmware was up to date and tried again (Communicated with customer service). Once again the prints were poor quality and about 36% slower than the FLsun and were failing time and time again. Now i have no idea how long the FLsun will last but i can get over 15 of them for the price of the Lulzbot.I want to keep this unit but at this price its not what was promised by the hype from LULZBOT. I may try to grab a TAZ 6 or a TAZ min as people seem to love them. I want to like this printer.... just cant for the price.

This thing is an absolute beast of a 3D Printer!!
An awesome printer! I didn't know how much I needed dual printing until I got the TAZ Pro. It has changed they way I look at 3D models. I started off with a few dual color prints off of thingiverse. Y'know the standard. But then my dissolvable filament showed up and let me tell you. I've been really enjoying printing with dissolvable supports. Not having to monkey around after a print has finished with shards of plastic flying everywhere, or worse, breaking a part of my print off on accident, has been such a relief. I just plop my prints in a tub of water, set up my next print, and whappah! I come back and my print is support free! Freaking game changing.I will say one thing. I did have to tune the printer in a little bit after I got it set up. But that could just be because I am a super picky person about how my 3D prints turn out. If you've been around 3D printers though you know that's just sort of the drill. I called into tech support and they were able to help me figure out a part of process I was missing. This is one of the main reasons I bought a lulzbot. I absolutely love it and can't wait to start printing bigger stuff and really test out the capacity of it's build volume

this is a big NOOOOO
EDIT AFTER a few months of use: NOOOOOO DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!!!!Okay. I have owned a TAZ 6 for several years and still ADORE it!!! It is trustworthy and does it's job well. I have had to replace a few parts on it along the way, but no big deal. It is my trusty workhorse! This printer gives me issues at least every other print. I'm talking print ruining issues and error codes. I have talked with support SO many times. When you get to talk to a human they are very helpful. Their customer service is great. Today they told me to submit a ticket, which is not what I have experienced in the past. They used to help you out right then with trouble shooting. I will be disappointed if this is the new norm.I have to re-adjust the z offset on my taz pro often and at times nozzle 1 and nozzle 2 even have different z offsets needed. I have to do this on my Taz 6 maybe once a month. I do this on my pro about 4-5 times a week. The time lost to re-calibrating and restarting prints is just unacceptable. I NEED my printer to be reliable.PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PRINTER!!! THIS IS NOT THE RELIABLE PRINTER YOU ARE HOPING IT IS. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND AN OLD TAZ 6! I WOULD GIVE THAT PRINTER 10 STARS IF I COULD!!-Megan

Short answer: 120% not recommended
Short answer: 120% not recommended. You think you spend $5k buying an America made printer you will be problem free? You will be satisfied? The answer is NO.First of all. The printer doesn't even work out of the box. One of the filament sensor is throwing filament errors. Why? Because whoever was the engineer suggested to use a pin header to connect their sensor instead of using latch connectors was a genius. The pin header will come lose whenever you move the printer or even because it's own vibration. Dude, at least put some hot glue on it.Second, look the pictures I attached. The lock nut for those ground rings was hand tight. Lol yes hand tight. Whoever forgot to tight it should be more careful. If the nut is missing during shipping and the wire became loose inside. Lol, they are ground wires. When they touch something, I'm sure you guys will have another return.Third, the bed leveling is ridiculous. Look at the picture, it's not leveled and there is not a simple manual leveling option at all. So just live with it.Four, the new extruder is extremely hard to work with in term of loading and unloading filament. I asked my wife to try unload it and she almost "broke" her wist try to get the filament out because man was it stuck in there. Lmao. And yes. It's every single time. Not just one time. And I'm using their own filament! So don't blame the filament.Five, the print quality, it's so so. Not terrible but not amazing. Definitely not good as with a ultimaker or a original prusa. I can probably fine tune a CR-10s to print better than this. The biggest problem is. It's so slow! So so so so so so slow! I can get the same print quality on a prusa for 2/3 or maybe even half the time. So, if you have $5k to spend on a printer. Get a marker bot or a ultimaker or 5 prusa or 10 CR-10s. I will not recommend this printer, period. It's just not worth the money. No wonder why those Chinese printer companies are booming! They deserve it!Follow up after 2 weeks. Print quality is really not good. The nozzle cooling is not designed good enough. One side of the part will receive less cooling than the other, which resulted in a uneven surface and poor wall finish on one side. This is really not acceptable on a $5k printer. A CR-10 can do better than that! The nozzle cooling fan start to make a loud noise after 5 or 6 prints. I wonder what vendor did they use for the low quality fan. Just unbelievable.
