I've used chain training collars on all my dogs, and these meet my requirements: quality construction, adequate (large) link to avoid pinching, and hair pulling/loss, and a reasonable price. When used properly there's no better way to keep your dog's attention when training, or to maintain control of a dog that wants to walk ahead of, or lag behind its owner. The accompanying photograph of the Doberman Pinscher wearing the collar is incorrect! The part of the chain that slides through the loop should always lay on the back of the dog's neck!! Using the collar as illustrated could result in injury to the dog's throat/airway, or even death. One last caution: Do not use this training collar as your dog's "everyday" collar. It should only be used when you are physically connected to your dog with a leash.

This collar does what it is supposed to do - stay on the dog and provide a place to hook your leash.My 2 big Anatolian Shepherds made a game of how fast they could chew the other one's collar off!This sure stopped them!I don't have them in an area where this could get caught on anything, so I leave it on all the time. When I do put the leash on I use the base ring, not the one that will cinch it tight, and that works for us.Very happy with this collar and it is saving a lot of money on nylon or cloth collars that lasted maybe a day with these 2!My dogs have medium length hair, double coat, and I don't notice any binding or pinching.

Chain worked fine and very good quality. It is a very heavy chain, much heftier then I needed. My dog is medium size, 50 lbs, and part pit, very strong, and I feel it is just a bit too big (diameter). Would buy same brand just lighter version.

The 4mm chain is well made and each link is welded closed, not just squeezed shut. I really like the 4mm size as it spreads the force of pulling on the leash instead of acting as a garrote like smaller chains. My Dobie snapped two of the smaller chains but I don't believe he can snap this one.

Not much to say about this piece. It works as its intended for and to my knowledge, it hasn't tarnished. Very sturdy and I'm sure our dog wont break through this or anything of that matter any time soon. Its a bit big for our German Shepherd but ehhh still works and he'll grow more into it since hes 6 months.

Bought this to train my dog a siberian husky when on a leash to not pull me. Did not work he still pulls the only difference is this collar now chokes him while he pulls on the leash. Does not help training a dog to not pull or at least didnt phase my dog one bit. Collar was well built and is easy to put on and take off but did not help me or my dog.

This Chain Collar has turned my White Akitas Fur Black. It did wash off for the most part but man did she look terrible. I have washed her without thinking about taking a picture but my dog has never looked so bad. Buy a better possibly coated collar if your dogs fur is light
