Seydel Chromatic De Luxe C-refurbished Harmonica

Sounds awesome and looks beautiful. Feels like an extremely well made musical instrument.

I was very excited about getting this harmonica. When it arrived the box it came in, not the shipping package, but the Seydel box itself looked worn and used. I warmed the harmonica as instructed to body temp but several holes, lower notes would not work at all. I practiced my breathing and was able to get a couple to sound a tiny bit on the blow but none on the draw. There was also another, I believe the 6 hole that worked intermittently at best, and around 7 hole there was a very loose twitter that nearly drowned out the note itself. I'm sad as this was my first nicer harmonica. All my others are hoehner diatonics, and a Swan chromatic which sounds amazing but without the volume of the Seydel. I am going to try a Suzuki next, but I'm not getting my hopes up this time. I could barely stand to send this one back but I just could not make it work properly.

I'm a beginner, so that should be taken into account, but I found the rectangular shape of the mouthpiece difficult; not easy to move my mouth from one note to another. Also it was not easy to clean the slider mechanism. Mechanical problems for me, but that's where I'm at.

Nice Tone - Harmonica Reeds are all well tuned- Excellent quality and fine response in playing. The leather Box received with Harmonica is well appreciated. This is my first Seydel Harmonica - and will look forward to possibly the Seydel Saxony Harmonica for future purchase. Harmonica was received well packaged and ahead of delivery date. Thanks, Al

My Seydel Deluxe arrived promptly in the mail in 3 business days. Screwed around with it for a couple hours, and comfirmed displeasure due to the squared mouth piece.Did some research, called Seydel USA, spoke with Rupert, and ordered an upgraded half moon mouthpiece with rounded holes over the phone for $60. You can also order it on the Seydel website.It took pproximately 3 minutes to install, and experienced joy.Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase. It's prettier, and more petite than my Suzuki SCX-12.Sound is very comparable, little softer than the Zuki.Guy, go ahead and bring joy home. It'll touch your every heart string...

Outstanding, great tone & projection. Quality all around.

Its really nice plays very nice not happy with the key I got it in but that the perils of Harmonicas. SEYDEL is the most awesome harp and worth every Penny.
