Gift for Daddy and 5 year old son for Christmas!! It goes over our gravel driveway and our field without issue. The battery life lasts about 15 minutes but you get a lot of driving in that time and it takes between 15-25 minutes to recharge it. So you aren't waiting an hour to have 15 minutes of fun. My husband already wants a second one so they can race each other!

So it ran... It really is a pretty fun truck to drive, but compared to some of the others it did not match up.The biggest issue with this truck is the shocks, and it's possible mine are just extra springy. It may also be possible to fix this issue with a little bit of shock oil but I haven't done so yet so I don't know if the shocks will hold oil or not. It's pretty quick and will shoot rocks and gravel just as well as the rest of the trucks, it has the best or second best ground clearance (of the trucks I list below) so I was sure it would do well on our semi off-road track, unfortunately when you hit a bump and the back end starts bouncing it's tough to drive straight. I had my worst lap times with this truck but it is still a fun drive.We had a family race day with a bunch of 1/16 trucks it was a lot of fun. After race day I ran them all again just to get a feel for each one and I've rated them below. I highly recommend the top two especially for beginner racers, they handle very well and were a blast to drive. I also tried the DeeRC 9305E 1/18 buggy which is supposed to be faster than most of these trucks it is not, and the one I got had a bad steering servo and some other issues. Another I tried was the Funtech 1/18th it's rated at 48 km/h but it did not work out of the box and I didn't want to mess with it after the issues with the DeeRC 1/18th. The last of the failed tries was the 1/16 Eachine EC08 it sort of worked but had lots of quirks it auto brakes when you release the throttle which is not a good thing for racing (useful for climbing) it also had a weak servo and mine had a few other issues as well.If you got this far then one last note, I used an automatic Lap Counter that worked amazingly well to track lap times and races. It's called LapMonitor and is very reasonably priced we ran 5 trucks at the same time and it had no issues tracking everyone's laps. Look them up if you have a backyard track and want a more accurate monitoring system it's worth it. I ordered a few extra transponders from France last Monday and had them by Thursday which was good since we raced on Saturday.

First, this is a fun RC car to play with. It's quick and agile, rips around through any terrain, and handles water no problem. Drifts at higher speed. Was a pleasant surprise right out of the box. Everything is easy to set up.HOWEVER, the battery life is severely lacking (not even the 12 min it advertises on lowest speed -- and on highest speed it's like 5 min). Further, IT'S BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK ONCE INSTALLED. I bought an extra pack thinking I could switch them out when one drained and couldn't get the original battery disconnected because the wedges don't give. This is an epic design flaw. I saw another buyer say he filed down the edges to get around it, so maybe try that or something else before installing.Also, I got one buggy model and one truck for comparison >> the truck is absolutely more stable than the buggy when going over bumps and ramps. The buggy wants to tumble all over the place. My recommendation, if you don't want to constantly run over to the car to flip it back over, is the TRUCK body by a mile. (The buggy says "truck" on the side ... the truck says "spirit." Just to be clear, I recommend the truck that says "spirit".)

One of the best so far. And that means I own 7 RC vehicles. Of coarse they all have broken at some time or other. Given a 4 year old & 11 year old that likes to see flips & rolls. Competition on high jumps & how many times it will roll & go back onto tires. End over end & side ways also. After around 30 hours total run/fun times until first break on this one. The others broke more times than this little one. Therefore the reason for our 2nd one same kind. Hope it does as well. Maybe smaller size & lighter weight helps. The 4 year old has much faster reactions than rest of us. I guess his IPad & other games helped with that. Yes, I'm a fixit type guy. If you are not, don't get into hobby of RC cars & trucks. Pay big bucks & you scared to run one hard. Battery it comes with is not long enough run time & has 2 hour recharge time as are all those kinds of batteries. Just go up to 1,000 from the included 500 & you will have more fun. The laughs & happiness of this little RC truck is well worth the few minor fix its. Glad it is winter time & they can use my garden now.

This is a hobby grade r/c car at a toy grade price and my 6 yr old son loves it (me too). It is fast! It goes over anything without getting stuck and it looks awesome! I was impressed at how fast it can go...and then I realised that the speed setting was at its lowest (a wonderful surprise). I highly...HIGHLY recommend this truck to anyone age 5 and up (yes, I know the box says 14+, but so what.) The only thing I would suggest is buying an extra battery if you plan on taking it to the mountains or lake or whatever. Run time is about 15 minutes or so. I think theres a battery here on amazon with twice the "mah", which will give you twice the run time. Just make sure its a 7.4 volt and check the measurements to make sure it will fit the truck. The battery space is tight, but can be modified a bit if youre handy.

This is a refreshing rc car. The outstanding color matching makes it look very gorgeous. The fast and slow adjustment function gives the novice enough time to adapt it, which is a very important function for the novice. When I was familiar with its manipulation, it become very easy to control, even in the condition of extreme speeds. Having a certain climbing ability makes me not need to consider the pits on the road. I attempted to make it jump from the high platform, and the shock absorber could keep it unharmed. It is worth this price.

Mon garçon l’a tout de suite aimé. Par contre il a eu le temps de jouer seulement 1 heure avec que les Chuck arrière ont brisé.Pourtant il ne faisait pas quelques chose d’exagéré avec le camion....La commande de pièce est facile. Mais j’ai dû les payer... donc ....

after one month, the toy reverses full speed without any handling of the remote control. It also no longer turns left or right. I tried to contact the seller for some feed back about the product and they completely ignored me. DO not buy this product

Battery doesn’t even last 10 minutes after being fully charged and the car is brand new. Would not recommend! Very cheap
