I order this set and the iGym set. For this price it's worth it for the belt, which by the way was not purple, it was light blue. The gloves were green, not blue, and are cheap - the velcro sticks to them causing snags. The decals started peeling off in a few days, so I already pitched them out. The barbells do not look like the picture, they were blue "noodle" material, like many thin layers laminated together. One side is splitting in between layers, but so far they are usable and staying together. They just do not have the level of resistance that the dense foam iGym ones. However the bar is a little longer, so I can cross one of each brand in both hands, and up my resistance by using 2 sets at once. Overall, I do not regret buying this set.

The reason for the 3 stars is the dumbbells. They come apart very easily - the end cap that holds the foam "weights" in place, fits loosely into the handle, so each time you start to exercise in the water, the cap falls off and the dumbbell comes apart. Until I figure out a solution, I haven't been able to use them and am a little disappointed. Would have been better if they would have screwed on instead. I will try using a water safe glue to secure them and hope it will be better. The gloves are perfect and work great. The back float is a little uncomfortable - it was folded in the box so it arrived with a pinch in the back - its just stiff and uncomfortable. I hope that it will loosen up and fit better with use.

I got this for my 85 yr old mother who cant swim and has limited mobility to get in her excercise and she moves around the pool now with a little more confidence.

I am in my 40’s and both myself and my 9 year old enjoy using this water weight set.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Spring for the Aqua Jogger brand, trust me. You get what you pay for. The belts are fine for floatation but they wear and crack easily. They also ride up but most do to some extent.The round weights are awkward as the inside of the device takes the brunt of the ater, forcing the end caps to pop out and weight falls apart. If you are not careful, the pvc pipe cracks on installation! Should you get them on w/o cracking, the water pressure of arm exercises pushes the ends off and that wear and tear will cause breakage as well. The Wqua Jogger triangular weights are one piece and easier to use.Bought two sets for my mom and I and the weights didn't last two sessions and the belts showed tearing on the outer ends and inside the rubber opening to adjust for yourself. Yes, Aqua Jogger will cost you twice as much but it will save you time and frustration sending this entire unit back. It is crap!

I don't know if they changed the dumbbells since some of the reviews that complained about the ends coming off, but I found them to be really solid with the end cap, as long as you also put on the end cap with a little muscle. The resistance with the floating material gives me a real arm and shoulder workout.The swim gloves are great to also create resistance or create a hand-fin for moving faster through the water.Haven't tried the belt yet....not sure what it's for, I got this kit for the dumbbells and gloves and am very happy with the purchase.
