The scent was nice but the consistency wasn’t great at all, somehow watery and gooey at the same time, not very easy to apply and didn’t sit well once applied. It did the job ok but I have used better products for the price

Product is good though u have to use a lot to keep the flies away and it only works for about half an hour before u have then have to apply more..

My poor horse was absolutely eaten alive today. We went out with this gel applied all over him and me and it did not work at all. Particularly bad year for horse flies but unfortunately this product didn’t protect us.

I bought this fly repellent for my horse last year. It seems to work okay but the lid is a pop I lid and not a screw top so when it was knocked over by my horse whilst I wasn’t looking the lid popped off and I lost 80% of the content of a pretty much a brand new jar...

It is expensive but does work, we apply with a sponge, not easy to get out of the pot.The first produce that seems to work and the ponies don't mind it.

I use this on myself, ever since I had a bad reaction to horsefly bites. It is miracle stuff: repels biting flying insects, stops existing bites from itching, smells like an exclusive spa and has done wonders for my eczema. The only thing it doesn't repel is cat fleas, I discovered at the weekend, when my furry friend's spot on treatment suddenly ran out. It does soothe the bites, though.Edit: I have recently discovered that this product also gives relief to the pain of shingles rash.

I didn’t realise just how effective this product was until I used it on myself. I have received a few nasty horse fly bites recently and they are so itchy/inflamed/irritated/painful for days and days. I decided to test out the horses ointment on one of the bites and my god it worked - instant relief and no more itchiness or redness at all. The other bites carried on driving me crazy. So yes this stuff works!

Loved the smell of this! As my horse can have a reaction to some fly repellant I like to use natural products. It worked quite well, as well as any fly repellant does, and my horse didn’t object to the smell like she sometimes does. Found I went through it quite quickly though but a good product nonetheless.
