Heavy duty
This ladder is made with heavy, thick plastic. You do need a mallet to slide the steps down and this takes some time but you don’t have to worry about loose steps! The steps are wider than your standard above ground pool ladder which makes a much more comfortable climb in and out of the pool. It was very easy to install once put together.

Easy install
Easy install. Nice big steps and metal hand rails. Floats up a little bit when not in use but only a few inches.

excellent
This ladder is quality at a good price. Make sure you have a rubber mallet as we needed it to get the steps in place. The parts bag was open, but only missing 1 screw which we did not need .Also we did not need to drill the 1 1/2" holes into the deck, that might make a little more work to do. People complained about the floating of the ladder, I found that properly mounted into the holders that wasn't a problem. It's also slightly wider than our previous ladder which makes it a little easier to climb out of the pool and it looks great. Love this ladder.

Recognizing the angled side of the pool rails
The media could not be loaded. At first, I put one of the rails in the wrong way. Called up the company and they were awesome. They sent a new set of rails for free and I’m totally happy with it. Here’s a hint on a Here’s a hint on an easy install method: lay the plastic steps with their inside portion down on a flat table. Put a 3’ level across where the rails go in to confirm level. Pull it out far enough so that you can add the rails. Find the proper leg of the rails and install completely into the ladder. Straighten each rail and use a 3 foot level along the side of the rail to ensure that it is plumb and perpendicular with your table. Do this on both sides. Mark both sides with a dot of black marker so that you have the orientation locked in, in case it accidentally moves. Then once you’re happy with that, drill the screw holes and drive the screws in. Once you get to this point, your handrails are 20 inches apart. Take that dimension out to your deck and the cleats that you’re installing on the deck. Run the other two screws thru the plastic and into the metal rail. Don’t forget to use a rubber mallet to pound down and lock in the steps when you’re assembling.

A sturdy ladder with wide and comfortable steps.
Heavy duty extruded vinyl (?) steps. Easy to follow instructions. Once assembled ( about 15 minutes ), this forms a very sturdy pool ladder. I used my previous ladder's stanchions to mount the new ladder to the deck. It does have a tendency to want to float (from the lower step(s)?), but with a little adjustment to the tilt angle of the stanchions with small shims, this can be minimized. I am happy with this purchase.

Quality
The ladder once secured to your deck it is good to go. No issues I could find. I’m a bigger guy and they are extremely solid. Getting a mat for the bottom is recommended. They don’t float as long as you secure it to your deck.
