GATSJar Environmentally Friendly Fuel Tester - 16 Ounce

Works well, no issues with this item

My mother (this is her acct) bought me this product for me to use at ATP flight school. Took it with me for my discovery flight on a Piper Archer III, and this was an awesome tester. Of course you have your pointy side for Cessna aircraft, and the other side is perfect on Piper aircraft. There are little cutouts on the Piper side to help you latch onto the sump drain port pins, and it was so easy that even my instructor was pretty amazed. My old flight school in Leesburg (AV-ED at KJYO) used to have these testers in their aircraft, so I knew they were good. But if you're wondering if you can use this jar with a Piper, the answer is yes. The sump drainer has a part that you can flip for either Cessna aircraft of Piper and others. I don't know what a Mooney and Cirrus is like, but it works wonderful with the two types of aircraft that I fly regularly.I will say though that the plastic is a little thin on the bottle, but the top is perfect. Just like what most people say in their reviews. Happy flying all!

I fly a high wing aircraft and not being as agile as I once was I use a ladder to check my fuel levels. The normal little open cup that is in the aircraft only holds a few ounces so I had to empty it after each tank. With this I can wait until the final climb up the ladder to dump it back in. There are a couple of issues. One, The clear material is very thin and feels like you could crush it easily. Second I think it could be 1/3 smaller and still hold the fuel of 13 drains. When I am done it is less than half full.

The most amazing GATS Jar I’ve ever had!It drains fuel of all types from pretty much any kind of aircraft with a fuel drain port.Very comfortable to hold in your hand! And it’s even transparent so you can see the fuel.. I mean water.. fuel and water.

This is a superb product for pilots. Allows you to sample the fuel, check for debris or water in the fuel and then return (via a water-impermeable screen) clean fuel back to the tank vice putting it in a dump can or (even worse) dumping it on the ramp. Brilliant in its simplicity and execution.

These jars are the best. You can drop them , throw them, they work. Stong and simple easy to see the blue.

Don't believe the image if you're trying to buy one with that style cap. It does not come with the tapered pour cap.
