2 HALOGEN Light Bulbs Double Ended J Type 300 Watts

The light bulbs arrived in time and in good packaging. I have been using one bulb for over a month and it works fine. No problems. The other is the spare bulb, if this needs replacement. Like any halogen bulb, it gets very hot very quickly, and is a big power-guzzler. I love my lamp, so I got to pay for it. Prices here are very reasonable.

These last a very long time, and the 500W is extremely bright. I control the brightness with a knob that calibrates the watts. I have seen negative reviews of this product and other halogen lights like it. The issue is not with the quality of the bulb. It's with installation. If bare fingers touch the bulb anywhere on the glass, oil deposits will be left behind. The halogen will heat the oil almost instantly, and the bulb will break. The answer is to use cotton or Kleenex to hold the bulb while installing it. That will keep hand oil from touching the glass and immediately destroying the bulb.The price on the bulbs was very good, and, of course, Amazon delivered it on time.

Bulbs arrived and worked without problems. In fact, I had forgotten they came as a pair. Since my first bulb lasted for many, many years (10+), I think I'm set for the life of the lamp! I was just reading earlier reviews and wanted to add that you should not touch halogen bulbs directly with your fingers. Always hold them with something in between your skin and the glass, as the oils from our skin will actually shorten the life of the bulb. My bulbs came with bubble wrap, so I used that, but a tissue will also work.

I bought 2 of these in April, but one fizzled out last week. I put a fresh one in, I'm planning on buying some more. For free shipping you can't really beat the price.

I couldn't believe these would work especially at that price. I got the bulb in just fine (made sure to wear vinyl exam gloves so my body oil would not be transferred to the bulb)If even one of these last as long as the one that came with the lamp, I will not live long enough to use the other! The original lasted 21 years. Even if they don't last as long, the price is more than right & free shipping saved me a trip to a store to try find them

Light bulbs were packed in a paper envelope!!!?? Really! With a plastic bag wrapped around it. The lightbulb package was open both were broken the worst parking job I’ve ever seen in my life especially for glass halogen lightbulbs . Totally unuseable. Definitely unuseable. Should be embarrassed for packing in such a careless manner.

Worked well for the old lamps we had in our house and great price. Checked the price of these at Home Depot and Lowes and were able twice as much. I was surprised to find them on Amazon but I'm glad I did.

These bulbs are great basic replacement bulbs for your halogen light. They are easy to install- if you want to keep the bulb from burning out prematurely, do not touch the bulb with your fingers. Use gloves or a piece of tissue to install the bulb as oils from your fingers will heat up and cause the bulb to burn out. My bulb is still burning but I thought I'd mention it since it's not necessarily common knowledge.
