Great product
2015 Silverado, 6.2, 8L90, 85K. Pulled 5.5 quarts of transmission fluid and replaced with 5 quarts Mobile 1 fluid and a pint of this Lubeguard. 100% improvement. No shudder at speed or clunky downshifting. Replaced thermal bypass valve at same time. Smooth all the way to redline and back. Completely satisfied.

Seems to have made a difference
I didn't have any particular issues with my transmission other than it was due a drain and refill (Hyundai Elantra at 90K miles). After researching Lubegard online it was recommended as a good preventative to avoid excessive wear in the transmission. I included 10oz with my latest fluid change and I swear I can tell a difference. I'll have to admit it is a little subjective but shifting appears smoother. I've only put 1500 miles on the car since doing it so I'll have to update this review in the future if I notice anything else. Considering the cost of a little maintenance versus a replacement transmission I think this is well worth it. Make note that this isn't recommended for all transmissions so check suitability on the manufacturers site.

Miracle in a bottle
Before using this product, and I'm funny about additives, i noticed a long and hard shift. Reading that you are to use 1 ounce to 1 quart of fluid but can safely use 2, i decided to use 2 per.... long story short, i don't believe i even drove a mile and had already noticed a difference. Before the day was out, it drove like a dream. 2 days later and my '89 suburban shifts so smooth i almost thought it wasn't shifting. I will be recommending this product to any i know that is dealing with shudders/ hard or long shifts. As long as there isn't anything mechanically wrong with your transmission, I'm pretty sure this will get it right.

Couldn’t believe it!
2012 Silverado with a 6L80 that had a firm 2 to 1 downshift and sometimes shuddered when switching between 4-8 cylinders AFM. With 85,000 miles and them being notorious to start having issues between 80,000-120,000. The shop swap out for a new being $5600.00 + tax I figured I would give it a shot.It was immediate. The first stop sign within 1/4 mile and the 2-1 downshift was flawless. The shudder as the AFM was in between V-4 and V-8 was completely smooth. It didn’t hesitate at all.I do plan to drain, change filter and new fluid. I will add this to the new oil for sure.

low mileage car that was 25 years old and it had a shutter around 40 miles an hour
Added the product as directed I’ve gone 3000 miles and no hint of a shutter at all. I know I know, but I recommend it. It’s worth the try for you.

Created unwanted jerking in my transmission. See below for details.
I used this stuff in a Toyota U151F transaxle. (RAV4 V6). It wasn't having any issues but I figured I'd try this stuff out and see what it would do to the shifts. Put the whole bottle in and didn't need to remove any fluid.I'm sure heavy throttle upshifts were slightly firmer but not enough that I noticed. But what I did notice was light throttle downshifts (like when accelerating after turning a corner) became very jerky. I thought something was wrong with the transmission. Accelerating up briskly up to speed and backing way off also produced an odd behavior where the transmission would create a breif engine braking period (like in a manual transmission) then it would jerk into a higher gear. This odd jerking behavior made me want to take out the additive. I did this by doing 3 fluid drain and fills. Now I'm back to jerk free shifting.Maybe if I only used 3 oz of Lubegard it would have been fine. This was my limited experience with Lubegard. It may work fine for you.March 2021 Update.Thinking about trying another bottle of lube guard. I recently ran 6oz of some gentle engine/transmission cleaner for a few thousand miles. The downshifts are now more immediate and smooth which makes me believe I had sticking shift solenoids during my first running of lube guard. Did lube guard make a solenoid issue worse or did it just make an issue with the solenoids more noticeable? Maybe neither. If I run lube guard again I make another update. But I'll probably just leave well enough alone...

This stuff is the real deal, works amazing for older model GM
My 4t65e transmission in my Pontiac Montana was slamming into gear, hesitating to shift from stop (especially on an incline) resulting in the dashboard getting cracked it was shaking so bad… I put 2.5 bottles of lubegard because I read online a little bit extra won’t hurt it… this stuff is amazing, after about 150km of driving it now shifts almost perfectly with 0 hesitation and it hasn’t shaken my car apart even once.If you have an older model GM, especially with the 4t65e or similar transmission.. YOU NEED THIS. I wish I found it sooner because I have a good feeling it would have prevented these issues to begin with. 4000KM and still going strong, thank you lubegard for delaying my transmission repair.Edit: 11000km and going strong, does anyone know if you can drink this stuff?

Works on BMW ZF transmission
4F85 error BMW , hopeless lead-free rear stator bushing stuffed like all ZF 6hp28 are . Tried zip kit, solinoids , bridge seal , tube seals etc waste of time - threw in 20 ounces of LubeGard Platinum- unbelievably it’s working! I still cannot believe it . Update after a year ; error came back , swapped in Redline high temp ATF fixed it !
