Great for dogs with allergies!
My dog has many allergies. My dogs trainer recommended these treats. I was nervous because most treats have something she's allergic to. These are pretty much just freeze-dried liver treats. Lamb is the only 100% safe meat for my dog so I went with lamb and she absolutely loves these treats. The only thing I hate is all the little pieces are in there so I try to shake it and get the bigger pieces on the top but when you open it so much dust from side of the container, but that's a small price to pay. This tells me months as well. This is definitely a good buy for anyone who has a picky dog or a dog that has a lot of allergies.

Iron
We are primarily raising our Leonberger plant based after watching the kibble industry exposed in the documentary "Pet Fooled". There is however one kibble we do approve and that is V-Dog. We combine that with plant protein we cook up with our instant pot using the recipe on youtube called "What We Feed Our Dog: Homemade Vegan Dog Food Recipe". That said we occasionally add freeze dried lamb to the kibble to assure our fast growing pup has enough iron. Hence Stewat Pro-Treats. We put the bite size cubes into a food processor and grind it up into a powder and then when we serve kibble, we add Hemp Oil, stir it up to wet down the kibble and then sprinkle Stewart's Pro Treat powder over the kibble. The Leonberger loves it.Just know that most of the protein in the kibble industry comes from the lentils and beans, not the "meat meal" which is not meat; its just gross. If you do not agree with us, FYI, when you sprinkle powderize Stewarts treats over kibble, it makes normal kibble like an expensive dog treat food, not just a kibble. So you save money on dog treats by turning the kibble into a reward treat; it tastes that good to a dog.

Good for raw feeding
I use these for making raw food for my cats instead of using fresh liver. It's a bit hard but they can be crushed with a mortar and pestle then weighed at the appropriate amount for each batch of raw. I love the lamb because it adds a different liver type to my cats' diet. This is a good amount for the money and lasts a while. Definitely a good deal.

Good for allergy-prone cats
I purchased these duck liver freeze dried treats to give our allergy prone kitty who also has IBD (eg. we are very, very careful about his diet!) another option for treats. Duck is one of the few proteins that he can handle. When I find a product like this one that has duck and only duck as an ingredient, it's always worth trying.Kitty review: 4 paws up! The pungent odor of these treats drove all three of our cats wild at first. They've settled down a bit now, but we lucked out: for once the treat we purchase for the allergic cat is the allergic cat's favorite.Kitty parent review: I'm a little less excited about these treats that the cats, but I will give these treats another shot. For the price v. quantity, these were very reasonable and the cats certainly did worry about the things I worried about!Since these treats are portioned for dogs, I did cut them down into cat size morsels before feeding. The sizes are irregular, but that is typical for treats made from 100% organ meats. What I questioned was the overall freshness of the treats. Some of the treats had dissolved into a powder and others, when cut, would do the same. It's weird to say that a freeze dried treat seemed "dry," but these do. I have purchased freeze dried treats and pet foods of many kinds and these seemed to be at the end of their life. That carton might be the problem. It's a thin carton like you might get cottage cheese in...if you try these, transfer to a sturdier container.

My dogs love them
I bought these on a whim for my dogs. They go crazy for them. I like that they aren't as smelly as beef liver and are smaller pieces in general, which are easier for training. Then again, they also break apart very easily so there are a lot of crumbs too! I'll just sprinkle them over food eventually but it is a decent amount.

Let me tell you why I removed 2 Stars
First let me say that the quality of the product is great and my dog loves Stewart’s. But I will often open a new container and it’s half full. Hopefully something can be done about that. I also took off a star because not all the flavors are available in multiple sizes. Why is that? I find myself ordering the little containers 3 or 4 times a month cause my giant dog is going through it so fast. Stewart’s, if you are reading this, PLEASE, make tub (or even Vat) sized containers for those of us with big dogs who love your products and for us owners who don’t want a million little containers everywhere. Thank you!*Please note this product is not kibble and shouldn’t be given to your dog as their primary source of nutrients. It’s given as a treat or used to make boring kibble interesting (like as a sprinkle on top of their kibble….which is how I use it)

Dog loves them
Who says you cant teach an old dog new tricks?! We moved from a house to an apartment bldg and had to re-train our 12 y.o. dog to curb his barking while walking thru the hallways. The scent is strong enough that when I'm holding a piece while walking him that he pays attention to me instead of oncoming foot traffic therefore reducing his freakout when he sees people. He's not a biter by any means but the barking is enough to make someone want to jump off the roof. Since using these treats, I have been able to train the dog from barking 100% of the time down to 50% and counting, without having him gain a bunch of weight.

Not worth the money
My dog seems to like them, but the 3 ounce tub is way over priced for the amount you get. The tub is small to begin with and the treats are only 2/3 of it. I will not be buying again, not worth the money

Best before date
The price was good, and my dogs love them, only 1 ingredient which is great. I would have given this a 5 star review, except for the fact that I only received the treats yesterday April 4 2016, and they were best before April 4 2016, so its not like I can give my dog both containers in one day. Very dissapointed!!! :(
