NimsSpud for Ice Fishing - Steel - with Teeth - for Breaking Ice - #NRS

Bought it for my son for Christmas! He was very happy and surprised to get it! He explained to me about the use of it. I said gee it seems awfully heavy to carry with all your out her gear. He showed me the purpose and it makes a lot of sense as it could save your life!. Never heard of it before. But seemed to me like a good well made piece of steel for its purpose for all u ice fishermen!!

Well lets start off by saying i have been a structural welder for the past five years and these welds flat out suck no way around it i have seen better from people that have never seen a welder before that said i will have take it to work and grind the welds off and reweld there is rust on the chipping blade cardboard stuck to the pant there was tape on the handle and when i took the tape off the paint came with it i should have made my own but trying to save time i have to rebuild something i paid 36 bucks for shame on you for putting this pile on the market i would look somewhere else for this item or build one much cheaper that way and you will have something worth while i would not recommend this to anyone it is much lighter than expected they used round tubing instead or a solid round bar which means more time chipping you cant let the bar do the work o ya they dont clean the buck shot off their products after welding so all them little round balls are going to rip your gloves up

Nice, heavy, sharp ice chipping rod. Definitely worth the money. I just used it to chip through 18 inches of solid ice in about 10-15 minutes. Would recommend running a cord through the handle or you risk losing it!

Works well and the price was right. I put some braided rope through the handle. I also used it to chip the hard packed snow and ice off of my sidewalk. Made clearing that area much easier.
