Seems well built but arrived with a torn screen :(
This just shipped and seems like a pretty well built screen printing setup. I was bummed though that the screen that was shipped with it arrived torn. Added a picture. It definitely requires a bit of fiddling with adjustments to get the screen perfectly parallel to the printing board (tough to keep the end furthest from where the screen is mounted from sagging).

Great gear, just way over priced
Great gear, just way over priced. A cheaper kit would do for a beginner. Make sure you have a lot of space for it

Good for learning on if you if you have not screen printed before and want a kit that has everything you need to screen print.
Many people say that this kit is overpriced for what you get. For a beginner, I disagree. I had never screen printed before and this kit had everything in it that I needed as well as a great instructional DVD. It is geared toward someone who has not done this before. The ink that comes with it is for clothing and must be heat set, so if you want to screen print on something like acrylic, you would need different ink. My daughter found that for t-shirts it's great. I use it for putting logos on name plates, so I do use a different ink by Nazdar that doesn't require heat to cure. The other thing that I really like about the kit is that everything that comes with it is environmentally safe and you can wash the screens out, etc. in the bathroom if you can't do it outside. The only negative that I have found is that the press itself is a bit of work to adjust properly. It takes me longer to set it up than run what I want to print when not doing shirts. Also, there is just enough play in it that tiny .5"X2" logos are not able to be aligned perfectly to put white ink down before printing my light blue on top of it. This isn't really what the press is for, so it's worth mentioning, but not docking them a star over... Would I buy the kit again? If I was going to use it to learn the art, absolutely. Now that I know the art, probably not, because I'd use the money to buy exactly what I wanted since some stuff I no longer use and other stuff I wish that I had another step up. It was not money wasted in my opinion. I have had a lot of fun with the kids with it too.
