Sharp looking watch, precisely accurate time and reasonable price
Purchased Seiko SNE098 2-tone solar watch from Amazon.com, took just 2 days to receive the free shipping without Prime, which gave me a good feeling to start with. The watch is a real beauty with gold/silver 2-tone color, with light gray dial surface that changes its image in a slightly different color depending on the direction of light source. The size of the watch is just right, not too large nor too small. The accuracy of the watch is beyond perfection, with solar quartz mechanism its accuracy is within 1 second for 10 days since I have this watch. The stainless steel band also has the matching 2-tone and is very easy to resize to fit my wrist. I did it myself in a few minutes. The most I actually liked is that the watch's 2 hands, hour marks (except at 3 o'clock position) all glow in the total darkness, and further they glow for many hours. I was able to tell the time just before dawn in a complete dark room. The watch also has day-date display. The longevity of this watch is without doubt with its all stainless steel construction in all surfaces. And water resistant is rated at 100 meter deep.Looks like the only questionable thing is how many years its internal battery last? From my own experience, I had a similar Seiko watch (SNE093 solar 1-tone) since 2014. Its battery has been working perfectly and the watch is still incredibly accurate.According to Seiko spec, one full solar/any light charge can make the watch run non stop for 10 months.I had a feeling that the internal battery (for storing solar/any light energy) can last between 10 and 20 years. So question boils down to: A reasonable low priced watch such as this, with all its beauty mentioned here, if the battery needs to be replaced over 10 years (Seiko customer service can replace battery for a fee) is it worth it? My answer is certain yes!

What? No battery needed?
I've had this solar powered Seiko about a year now and have been pleasantly surprised at how accurate it has been. And the charge has never ever run down. Natural light or household light just charge it right up with no hassel or effort on my part. Damn nice watch!

Easy to read, decent price, durable and looks nice!
We bought this product specifically because we purchased Seiko products in the past and they last a long time. My husband wanted a watch that looks professional, is rugged and hold up under daily wear and keeps time well. This watch does all that. The price was decent too and we expected to pay a little more with what we were looking for. We also ended up needing to buy a jeweler's set to remove a few band parts to get it to fit, but we've already used the set many times for different things so really no big deal. I would definitely recommend this product for price, style and wear ability!

Good choice
It looks nice, works as advertised and keeps excellent time. It also has the advantage of being solar powered, so I never have to worry about winding it.Addendum: It has been 14 months since I purchased this watch. I wear it every day. Still works great, keeps perfect time, and I never have had to think about charging it. Just charges by itself with regular wear. Also, the crown has proved to be exceptionally durable. I have battered it on all sorts of things, and it doesn't show a scratch. My only complaint is you have to reset the day/month setting in months that have 31 days (or is it months with only 30 days? I forget) to keep it on track. But I find that a minor inconvenience. After more than a year, I think this is a great watch for the money, so I have boosted my rating to 5 stars.

Nice watch that's a little heavier than I expected
I've had the watch for about 10 days and my initial impressions are favorable. Its a nice looking watch and seems to keep very accurate time, which is what I would expect from a Seiko. I've owned 3 Seiko watches previously and have gotten good service from all of them. The most recent one lasted almost 15 years before it finally needed retiring. The face on this watch seems a little darker than the picture in the listing, but that's not a bad thing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is a little larger and heavier than I expected. My most recent previous two watches were a Seiko electric and a Longines automatic. This watch is about twice the weight of those two, although I would say that its not very noticeable once its on your wrist. I have a relatively small wrist and we had to remove 5 links from the band for it to fit properly. This may not be correct, but I attribute the hefty weight to its high degree of water-tightness, to about 100 ft, and its solar charging capacity. I wanted that, so I'm willing to live with the added weight.

Beautiful, quality watch at a very reasonable price.
Watch arrived right on schedule as announced. Beautiful classy looks equal to much more expensive watches. Stainless and solar and Japanese movement make this watch dependable and hardy. Band came plenty big enough to adjust to whatever size needed. Easy set up and so far has not lost a minute...or a second as far as I can tell.At this point I have to say this is one of the best, and nicest looking watches I have ever owned.Very pleased with the price.

Nice Contrast for Older Eyes
This is a very nice watch. Especially like the contrast between the shiny gold hour markings and hands, versus the gray face - makes it easy to read. The band and case also seem very high quality. It is very comfortable to wear. The many reviewers that say it is a bit heavy are correct. It is 5 oz on a postal scale, versus 4 oz for my older steel Seiko (so 25% heavier), and 2 oz for a titanium Seiko (which is extraordinarily light). The bezel is a bit too shiny for my liking. But the steel on the band is more muted. So overall, it looks classy without being too 'dressy'.

Elegant Watch! Seiko Solar 100.
This time piece is a beautiful watch, elegant and has a sporty looks. This Quartz movement made it accurate, spot-on in time keeping. Its dual tone really appeals and made it one of the best dress and sporty watches. Kudos*****
