Hit and Miss Racing game riddled with bugs
Generally good:The graphicsGroup A, H1, R2, R5 racesNew Zealand, New England, Argentina, SpainHistoric ChampionshipsIndividual Rallycross events and racetracksCrashes at High SpeedsTHE BAD:The servers are extremely inconsistent and unreliable for online play.Australia and Poland (Some of the banks and turns do not apply physics correctly even at slow speeds.)Crashing at slow speeds (I'm pretty sure even group B cars did not shoot 20ft straight up in the air going up an inclined bump in the road at 5mph.)Crashing into invisible objects in the middle of the road. (Happens more often when completing community events)RWD cars on wet roads. From personal experience in real life, at normal/slow speeds RWD cars are not uncontrollable beasts that spin in circles on pavement or gravel. (Maybe flying down wet gravel roads at speeds beyond 75 mph, as I've never been dump enough to try that IRL.)THE UGLY (Or completely terrible game breaking problems.):Needing an internet connection for single player campaign events....WHY did you ever consider this... Codemasters servers are constantly going down and making it impossible to complete longer rally's. I've lost all progress and had to completely redo very long championships at least 7 times because of the unnecessary need to connect to codemaster servers.Multi-event championships (that require an internet connection) are prone to wiping out or incorrectly assigning points to yourself and the AI and incorrectly. For example during a monthly AI challenge I came in first in 4/5 events and was first in the standings (120 points with second place having 102 points.) after experiencing connection problems to codemaster servers, I placed third in the last event. Normally I would have still finished 1st in points for the overall championship due to winning the first 4 events. But it only scored the championship on the last event.AI setting completely impossible stage times to artificially make the game longer/harder to complete. Luckily this is infrequent, but it does break the game or championship.Group B races. I understand they are super powerful, lightweight monsters that killed professional drivers however, in Dirt 4 and Dirt Rally you could practice using these cars and get the hang of them eventually and it was enjoyable. This iteration just seems to be coded poorly and is not fun at all.OVERALLI am extremely disappointed in this game, especially after thoroughly enjoying dirt rally (1.0) and Dirt 4. As this game currently stands I would not buy again or recommend to anyone.

Great On Graphics, Less Than Par On Gameplay, and Too Realistic.
The two stars I am giving this game go to graphics and controls. The graphics are stunning, and the controls are like your typical racing game.If you are a person who likes hyper-realistic games, then this is a driving game for you. In this game, you have no map to show you where to go, the slightest turn sends you into a hard, or even U-turn, or even a full 360, 720, or 1080 (which goes for driving backwards as well), and something as simple as hitting a traffic cone, or gently hitting a wall or obstacle rips off half of your vehicle. Also, if you go too fast, your car blows up. There is a vehicle repair system, but it takes time to repair the individual parts of your vehicle, and you only have two minutes to find the parts to repair on your vehicle. Depending on what the part is determines how long it will take to repair, meaning that the part will be repairing while you are racing, which I find inconvenient.Since there is no mini-map, you have no way of knowing where it is you need to go. There are markers on the track itself, but they are not in abundance. The track, dirt, and all are very slippery, making it very difficult to control a vehicle that already has enough turning problems as it is.When it comes to actually racing, the CPUs dominate no matter what difficulty your on, and you also have to take a special route at least once to successfully complete the race, otherwise you can't.I did not order this on Amazon, I got the digital copy for free on the PlayStation Store. Do not buy this game if you are not ready to rip your hair out within the first half hour of playing this game.
