Simply awesome!
This item is well worth the price. It is in a different league from most skewer types offered for sale elsewhere. The wide and flat shape is to make sure it is easy to put the meat on the skewer, but when you rotate the skewer, the meat stays put and does not slip around the skewer. This feature distinguishes this set from most competition. The stands are essential also - they allow to comfortably keep your skewers in four different positions for even cooking on all sides and to avoid grate burns on the meat. The 17 inch length will fit most grills, yet the skewer is also long enough to accommodate an entire dinner for one person on a single stick - convenient for serving.Stainless steel is easy to clean - just scrub it with a sponge made of a softer metal (e.g. most metal sponges intended for washing dishes)I did not notice any heat damage (like warping, for example) after continued use. The steel is adequately heavy-gauge.What is not to like?

Use them every chance I get
I had a taste for shish kabobs after I went to a friends BBQ so I started looking around. I almost purchase the Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Signature Stainless Steel Grilling Kabob Skewers, Set of 6 (3/8-inch Wide) until I came across these and thought they would be good for even cooking and to keep the meat from sticking to the grill surface. Well they are perfect for me.I purchased the Bayou Classic Fold and Go Portable Grill for camping and portability. After I got the grill and the skewers, I grilled away. The things I liked about the setup were that it does allow you to cook evenly on 4 sides. The things I didn't like about them is that they are advertised as dishwasher safe. If that means that they won't melt, then sure. If that means that they won't rust, then... not so much. Mine showed some rust spots after putting them in the dishwasher. After that, I hand washed them and they were fine. Another thing is that the stands that come with them are kind of hard to clean. Mine have become somewhat stained after a couple uses. That's not too big of a deal for me since the food doesn't actually touch them.I've cooked chicken, scallops, pork, beef, vegetables and fruit with them so far and they all came out great. I tried them on a propane grill with burners and the middle parts didn't cook as well. If you were cooking on an infrared grill they would work better. Charcoal is the way to go though.Another thing you must have a glove. I use a leather glove for handling because they do get hot. The ends are kind of blunt, which I like. That way I won't skewer myself when I'm loading them up. I've read other reviews where users sharpened the ends of them like a knife. I opted not to do that.To sum it up, I don't regret the purchase I don't think you will either. Just be sure you don't put them in the dishwasher...

A pleasure to cook with
I've just used this once so far, but first impressions is that this is well made, and it's easy to use, and great to cook with.I used it on a Jenn-air electric grill (part of the stove; photo attached i hope). What's nice is that the meat doesn't stick to the grill, because the supports hold the meat up off of surface. Also the meat doesn't spin because the blades are flat. the diameter of the blade skewers is 3/8 inch which is commonly recommended for Kabob (Ozan, The Sultan's Cookbook). The supports have a v-shape grove for positioning the skewers, and therefore you can get precise 90 degree rotation/positioning when you turn them. If you want, you can position flat across the top giving you two more positions and a little higher elevation. It cleans easily. Surprisingly (to me) the metal handles did not get too hot. Really nice product. I will update, when I try it on the charcoal grill.

Be the Kabob Master you always wanted to be!
If you’re serious about your Kabobs (and why wouldn’t you be?) then this is the set up. The skewers are sturdy and the frames to hold them are too. Just don’t use a bare hand to touch the handles, even after you take them off the grill or out of the oven. The skewers are nice and long. I sometimes use a wood skewer as well right on top so it is easy to present on a plate. The metal skewers are too long to serve with. But the length is great for cooking. With wood skewers alone, they bend and warp making it impossible to turn them evenly. So I just lay a wood one on top and then slide it off.

Quality Skewers
First let me comment on the quality. The stainless steel skewers finish is micro fine, meaning no rough edges, just a perfect satin finish. Professional quality. The resting racks are a welcome feature, Heavy duty stainless, again nice finish. The skewer rests 3/4" above the grill, thus a 1 1/2" cube of meat could be used. Keeping that in mind when preparing your meat cuts, if you want to use larger cuts, give them more length. Keeping your meat cuts the same thickness yields uniform cooking time. For those other reviewers that complained about the resting racks not being high enough, duh, put a narrow piece of ceramic tile under each rack to increase the height away from the grill. As far as skewering mushrooms, I use wooden skewers that have been soaked in water for several hours. I marinate the mushrooms AFTER skewering. No more meat sticking to the grill, and no more meat rotating on the skewer when turning!
