You will be disappointed
READ BEFORE PURCHASING:The electric scooter industry is still too new. I’ve used the Lime, Spin and Bird scooters before which are all made by Segway. Those models run about $700-800 dollars and even those have issues. You can see that everything on Amazon averages about 3.5 stars. I bought this one because it had 4 stars and I’m not sure why. They just aren’t good enough yet. I hear the same complaints coming from every single one of them. The BATTERY.So with this model...Good:- it looks nice- Brake’s are fine- speed is okay but not great- folding mechanismBad:- batteryThe battery is absolutely terrible. The claim is that it can go 8-12 miles on a full charge. Other reviews said it’s more like 6-9 miles. Well my work is only 2.9 miles from home so I figured it shouldn’t be a problem hilly or not. It was a problem. It had a full charge the night before and it struggled to make it after about a mile. It really struggled going up the very first hill I encountered near my house so I knew it was going to be an issue immediately. It ended up dying three different times on the way. Had to stop, shut it down and power back up to get it going again. Uphill it would only reach speeds of 5mph which is barely enough to keep from tipping over. This is not a steep hill. Btw i way about 185 lb so that shouldn’t be an issue. For $330 it should be able to make it 2.9 miles on a single charge. I don’t care if it’s entirely uphill, it shouldn’t matter for this price.Customer service has yet to respond to my email so I’m still waiting to see if they can do something to fix this or if I should just end up returning for refund. I’m leaning towards refund as I have no idea what they would be able to do for me.

Scooter rides as advertised, but if you need to go 12 miles, get the MX1
I bought this scooter vs. the mx1 or another scooter because I wanted a lighter scooter, I didn't think I needed the extra range, and I didn't want pneumatic tires. The scooter is zippy and carries me well (I am 195 lbs and am able to hit the max advertised speed). If you want this scooter to be an all-day work horse for you, it won't be. It is good for 8 miles of range on a charge and if that is not good enough, then get another scooter. However, if 8 miles is good enough, this is a great scooter. I love that I don't have to worry about getting a flat tire, it is manageable to carry (I think I will be buying a scooter-carrying strap still), It can fit under a shopping cart if you ride to a grocery/department store, and it folds quickly and easily. There are lots of reasons to love the scooter. The build quality is great and it feels very premium. I strongly recommend this scooter for college students living near campus or commuters who need it to supplement a metro or bus system. If you are like me and this is your first electric scooter, you will enjoy this scooter but sometimes wish you had more range or that you could go faster. I was willing to make compromises for the price and a lighter weight. If you know you are making that exchange, then you will love the scooter.

Commuter Scooter
So, this is day two of me actually having the scooter and don't get me wrong, it makes my commute much shorter but there's a give and take here. First off, I used to have to walk to the metro for 20 minutes - 23 minutes before and now I can cover the same distance in less than 10 with the DC heat. So, that in itself makes life so much easier. I love that the tires are solid and I don't have to worry about replacing a tire because we all know pavements aren't always smooth and free of debris and I don't want any extra costs. The speed is great and quite manageable for my commute to and from the metro. I don't intend on using it for long rides on a scenic route so all set there. However, it is not free of pains. Here are my recommendations:1. Please add a kickstand so when I come home I can just stow it away in a corner quickly.2. The latch is not that easy to hold down. I have often gotten hit in the head while to fold or unfold the scooter because the latch require quite a bit of force and the wheels dont stay in place while you are trying to do so.3. The wheels, there should be a way to lock them in place so a) you can easily fold it 2) while folded you can roll it around instead of having to carry it.4. The bell is too close to the brake.5. The charger is quite big and since battery life isn't all that long, you need to carry it with you. I suggest a lighter charger.6. The foot brake takes a bit of resistance before it actually stops but the handbrake compensates for that. So not a bad thing since you do have something else to counter it with.7. The last thing would be the brake has not light indication. So people behind me have no idea if I am about to stop unless I signal and in DC most of the time you need to be on road with a scooter and not a sidewalk.I do like my scooter but it's not perfect and I wish that it was for the price I paid. I am not asking for major features like more battery life or speed. It's the basics I want. I bought this scooter after weeks of research and the tires were one of the factors that sold me.

Light weight
I like it’s design, is a decent scooter. Is light, puncture proof tires, folds easily. Only issue is it’s charge life. Is relatively short. I wish it was longer. I way 190 and it runs smooth.

Good Customer Service
I use this product to go back and forth between my home and work. It's about a 6 mile round trip including a few hills, and the scooter does great. I changed some settings by mistake and it only took a few minutes to get the correct settings from Customer Service to get it fixed and back up and running.
