At first glance, it’s a diorama of domestic and community bliss, but closer inspection reveals the conflicts that arise when lives intersect in such close quarters. The image suggests that there’s a thin line between our public and private lives. The stacked, vertical orientation magnifies the congestion of shared living spaces.At 500 pieces, this puzzle is a good choice for either younger kids or as a family project for puzzlers with different skill levels. A rarity in mainstream puzzles is found here: people of color are seamlessly built into the overall theme. Puzzles that tell stories or spur conversations – basically, puzzles that draw you into and beyond their frame – are our favorite to build. If that’s your style, too, this puzzle is a winner.

I love The New Yorker puzzles. Great artwork, colorful and fun to do. The bricks on this one was tricky with just the right amount of difficulty. Recommend highly.

I loved every inch of this puzzle! It was engaging, and I easily lost track of time - which in this current environment is a good thing!

Missing a puzzle piece. The pieces themselves are very unique in shape and look like they’d fit with multiple other pieces. Makes the puzzle really tricky to put together, and then especially frustrating to not have all the pieces. The image itself has a lot of details, though!
