Mad keen on Concorde, having been an aircraft engineer and worked on Concorde, anything about her is worth reading and viewing photos. Well worth the cost.

Must Have.
This all colour dollop of a soft back is the best book of a dozen odd Concorde books I have in my collection till date,as far as the photography is concerned. For the record, there are also 11 b&w and two sepia photos in the book.I have been familiar with the name Adrian Meredith, over the decades as BA, on several occasions, very kindly sent me over photos of its aircraft taken by him.The photos in the book are stunning.Since Concorde had only one other operator, Air France, it would have been courteous on the part of the publishers to have included that airline's aircraft in the book as well. For the reader there would have been bonus images of the exterior and interior detail differences between BA and Air France's Concordes as well as exciting photos of the Pepsi Concorde. There should not have been the 'us and them' attitude apparently having been created as there were only two choices of colors of the Concorde ever available to the reader and, indeed the world. The presence of Air France's Concorde would have spiced up the book. Is this a missed opportunity? The photographic conjectures on pp168-172 could well have accommodated Air France Concorde photos instead. Nonetheless this is a wonderful color album of Concorde that every airliner nut should have despite the hefty £20 price tag. And talking of prices, the quality of paper used should have been full gloss which would have enhanced the quality of the color photos to the maximum. The publishers should not have settled for second best when dealing with THE best aircraft in the world, arguably. The cockpit photos lack the Flight Engineer's panel. A very few of the photos can be recognized as being from BA brochures of the 1970s. Despite these minor shortcomings the book is still a collector's item and can only be awarded a full five stars.
