I seldom review but i had such great expectations and it failed miserably - i just had to put a word of caution! I hope it activates a support mechanism with the seller to fix the issue!My setup - the X96 is connected to a home theatre setup - HDMI for video and Optic cable to an Onkyo amp for Audio!It was working well for a week and an update later it just went beserk and it is just not talking to the onkyo amp. I toggle between an Apple TV (older version) with the same optic cable and it works just fine with the same setup! So obviously this X96 is the faulty one!

when I switch it on there are so many lags are there. After I have received one update and after that I see it working fine and I didn't face any issue. I am able to play jio TV using sideloaded app. Good at this price range. We are able to install all the apps.

Here are my observations and experiences.Pros.1. The device is really nice and has a clock display.2. Supports JIO apps and you can download and install from google playstore. Please update device before doing all this.3. Wireless setup was very easy and supports 5g and 2.4g both.4. Bluetooth works nice and I can connect my bluetooth mouse and keyboard to it. You can get universal bluetooth remote for Android and it will be easy to use.5. Picture quality is awesome and there is no lag in display or movies. Works well with Jio dongle wifi and also with mobile hotspot.6. Device does not slow down even after installation of several apps.7. The box has separate IR cable for remote and I can hide the box behind my TV and just stick IR knob in the front of tv.8. Remote is easy to configure and you can use the same remote to turn on/off TV also.9. Sound quality is awesome.Cons.1. Remote is not that convenient to use. However it still helps a lot.2. You need to search for instructions online for setting up display to right selection for great picture quality.Overall I feel it is a great product and very useful. I have returned 2 devices before this because of quality and operational issues. This one is the best so far.

Edit: got one fully functional as replacement. Working as promised and it's great. I don't care about the software part because it's a rooted Android device and I can customize it to oblivion like there's no tomorrow. The hardware looks promising enough to try high end games and emulators also (which I am yet to).Cons: the remote is pathetic. Get a 3rd party remote with air mouseIf you don't know basic Android development activities at least (like root, adb sideloading), you'll have hell of a time with built-in softwares alone.Overall verdict: good for tech enthusiasts but don't see it becoming a craze among zero-Android-knowledge customers who expect something to happen (like tv playing) as soon as they switch on the deviceGot a defective item delivered. Doesn't power on. Ordered replacement. Will edit and update if at all it works better as promised

Value for money for sure. System is keep on restarting when the display size is changed to "larger" or above, so system update should be provided in near future otherwise I will put one star. I installed an extra cooling fan for making it an heavy duty teaching aid for my kid. (You must fit it for the next version so this product may last more). I fit a wireless mouse and keyboard along with an LCD projector. I advise everyone to make such a setup for your kids instead of giving them mobile/tablets. As a conclusion I recommend this product.

The product I was received, is not performing well, one USB port of 2.0 is not working , and the main unit is not detectingany connection like HDMI & USB , in every starts I need to reinsert all the relevant cables each and every time , and the product is keep restarting in every 10-15 minute. over all very bad experience with this productI am fade up by reinserting the Cables more the 20-25 times in every starts.

box not working after 3 months of usage and power supply seems burnt inside...no power signal nor operating...cable is fine but yet no power supply.... no guarantee or warranty... warranty and replacement is for only for 10 days...not worthy....worst product and wastage of money...not recommended...
