I have gone through so many bug zappers because the lamps go bad and it's hard or expensive to my replacement lamps. This unit uses LEDs so it should last basically forever and should cost far Less to operate. The only thing I don't like about it is the description showing that it is a mosquito killer. Mosquitoes are not attracted to black light but there is a fan that could possibly be strong enough to suck mosquitoes through the grates. I will put it outside and see if I can get any mosquitoes and hope that I do. But it is really for the moths that the parrots bring with their food. So I'm really not needing it for mosquito kil ling

This is the 3rd UV light bug zapper I've purchased. All of different designs. Honestly, none of them did a good job of zapping the little fruit flies that suddenly invaded my house. After several weeks, there's essentially no dead bugs at the bottom of the tray. Perhaps the flying insects at my house are genetically modified and blind to UV light! I found the best approach was to be aggressive cleaning all house drains with bleach, especially in the kitchen. One nice feature about this unit is the LED style UV light, which I believe is probably safer to use in the house and avoids the issue of replacing UV lights that others have complained about with other models.

I left this thing on all night for many nights in our family room/kitchen area in the pitch dark and it didn't catch any of the flies/gnats flying around. I suspect it's because the lights are quite dim and I'm not quite sure if the fan is a good idea. I wanted to give this a try because the price is low and had good reviews. No results means no stars though unfortunately.I returned this and got another product. Try the ones that have the long dual UV bulbs. I used these in the past and they have definitely worked quite well. I bought a new one and put it in the same exact spot that the DIGIELE was in previously. It caught a few in the first few hours.

I was totally amazed by this product. I used it both indoors and outdoors and it works like a charm. It was very quiet while running inside and I think it attracted the bugs to it. When using it outside I think it got everybug in my yard and yet it was still quiet. Very good on electricity and I"m so impressed with this product. Hanging it up in the middle of my patio, I can now enjoy the evenings outside without a ton of spray and without a bite. It really is nice to have something that works as it should ...

Thought this might do something about the flys and mosquitos At the bakery I run but it doesn’t really work that I could tell. I’ve yet so see it kill a fly and I left it on for a couple days in my garage with no luck. I’m guessing you have to have it completely dark and with smaller flys for it to even be effective. To clean it you need a screwdriver to remove the cage but it isn’t hard to do. Will update after more use... maybe it’ll start to work better.

This bug zapper works fairly well. It doesn't feel too heavy-duty, but that doesn't bother me too much, because it'll be in a stationary spot all summer. It is easy to operate.

Has not caught one single bug over several weeks! Do not waste your money in this. The lights I think are too dim to attract anything on this. I bought this based on reviews but not sure they are all real.

So far each of the bug zappers I’ve purchased for under $30 have been a total waste of money. They catch moths and other flying bugs that are of no bother however mosquitoes and flies seem to not go near it.
