KA-BARWarthog Folder II Knife with Serrated Edge , Black

Having served in the US Marine Corps- I bought my own fixed blade knife as most Marines do( long tradition of the K-Bar and the USMC). I bought this pocket folder for my son as an end-of-the-school-year gift. He really likes it, It feels solid, open, and closes smoothly. My only ding is made in China. A shame we can't make these in the USA- I'd be willing to spend a few more dollars. Overall, a good basic folding knife at a good price point.

This is not a carrying knife. The blade locks open just fine, but is very loose in the closed position. On my belt, and in my pocket, the blade came open easily- without my knowledge. One time I reached into my pocket and cut myself a little, because the blade was slightly opened. Not a safe design and one Ka-Bar should most certainly recall and fix. I wasn’t sad to lose it.

Arrived really soon. The blade comes sharp out the box however the actual tip of the knife was pretty blunt you can sharpen the top portion like most other kabar blades for a crazy sharp tip. Good grip, sturdy pocket clip, and the dual thumb studs make it easy to open from either side. Also unlike most other liner locks you can adjust the tension without worrying about the blade getting loose because there are plastic risers keeping the blade centered and I'm pretty sure legality is not an issue in most if not all states for an everyday carry knife a 3 inch blade in Cali is the limit they the cops can't be that anal about another 1/16 inch you can get this knife hair shaving sharp and it actually keeps that edge pretty well for it's size. My only complaint is that the nice is a real pain in the ass to reassemble

This is a great all-around high quality knife. Highly recommended. Sturdy. Razor sharp. Solid feel and click when it locks. Excellent value.

Guess I should have read the description more. I thought buying a KA-BAR would have guaranteed made in the USA. I was wrong. It is a decent knife otherwise.

I love this little pocket knife, it has solid craftsmanship and the blade came in nice and sharp. I think that is a steal for the price you pay for it, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good blade.
