Does a good job of shielding the sun from the face of the GPS unit. When used with a Garmin DriveSmart 55, you have to place the sun shade carefully. Otherwise, you'll be covering key components of the GPS screen. See illustrations: If you simply center the sun shade on a DS 55, you'll cover up the Back button, the Menu button, and part of the turn notification. Instead, shift the sun shade to the left.

Like the fact it is as advertised a great deal compared to the other one's I bought. Work's great for keeping the sun off the screen.
