Dickies Women's Denim Bib Overall

Great quality, great price
These are great! I've worn overalls for work (professionally and around the house) for more than 20 years. These are probably my favorite at this point. I like the deep indigo color (note: wash before wearing!) and I like that there are no ridiculous belt loops on the back. There are two on the front but those are actually functional. Some things to know about the sizing: I ordered the XL although the size chart and other comments made me think I should have ordered a large. I had my third c-section a few months ago and I loathe having my pants dig into the scar area, plus I'm cursed with a stupid swath of skin the makes sizing things correctly difficult. Pants, even well fitted ones, tend to gap at the waist, mold around my lower abdomen, and hang too loose from my hips. I wear around a size 14, although that's only for the looser fit on the scar. If that wasn't a problem area I think I wear a 12, maybe 10. So the XL is bigger than I need... but I really like them this loose! The length: tall ladies, you're in luck. These are easily more than 12" longer than I need. I'm 5'2ish and generally my inseam is 30". I have these rolled three times in a wide cuff, and I plan to tailor them to length after a few more washings. My fellow shorties, don't complain. You can always cut fabric off, but you can't exactly add length. The fabric is not very thick. I'd say it even feels rather thin, but it also feels quite sturdy. There's just a bit of stretch in the fabric, which makes bending, climbing, sitting, etc comfortable and keeps you from getting a sudden frontal wedgie.I've worn them for outdoor work in 90 degree weather with high humidity, and these were just light enough to not feel suffocating but thick enough to protect my skin from brush and insects. This was followed by a day indoors, perched on the top of ladders while running electrical wiring. There were plenty of handy pockets to keep tools close at hand and roomy, real-sized pockets to actually put things in. You know how women's jeans sometimes have itty bitty pockets you can't even get your hand into? Not the problem with these. I could keep my thicker-than-average cell phone in one and actually get it out with one hand.I think the only thing I don't like as much is that the straps are as short as they can be and the crotch is still a little lower than I like; however, I'm certain it's because I ordered them in a bigger size than I need. I'll also add that I'm much bustier than average. The bib on these is actually wide and long enough to fit correctly. The buckles/catches are not in my armpits, not are they too close to center. I can freely move my arms around without the buttons slipping into a painful spot. There's one feature that's on them I wasn't expecting- on the back of each leg-cuff, the fabric is doubled and thicker. Having stepped on the back of my pantlegs often, this is a really nice detail. I usually wear thicker soled work boots, and stepping on the cuff a lot can mean quickly ripping holes into the cuff. This should help reduce that from happening, at least as quickly as it could.Overall, I'd recommend these for anyone from professional wear-every-day types to a fun and comfortable everyday wear item. I plan to purchase a second pair since I wear these so often, but I think I'll wait a few more months for the rest of the baby weight to shed or settle down and order something that fits just a little tighter. These are better quality than any of the other brands I currently own and have a lower price point than the closest comparable I have... starts with the letter C and sounds like bar part.

PERFECT!!!!
I am only 5 feet tall so I expected it to be too long. I also have a post-baby tummy and a rather ample bust (38D) so I went with X-large size. It is loose-fitting, but as I'm wearing it while digging out in the yard it's not too problematic and works very, very well. I DID have to take the sides in just a hair, in addition to selectively shortening various spots (under the bib, and on the diamond in the back where the straps go, and the legs). I should have gone with a large, but as I have sewing skills I was able to modify it to fit perfectly for what I need. As for the fabric- LOVE IT!!! I'm doing heavy digging and building soil beds (mini-farming, which is to say intensive farming on my 1/4 acre lot) and the fabric stands up to everything I put it through. I have SUPER rocky soil (they don't call them the Rocky Mountains for nothing!) and they've handled me digging out all the rocks, operating a shovel, operating a sod-cutter/edger, moving cinder blocks and paver stones, hauling wheelbarrows, sitting down on the ground picking big rocks out, and in general pulling and pushing and building- without a single snag, hole, or tear :D Plus, denim overalls are THE best work pants EVER! No rear end showing, no tugging them up every few seconds, no digging into tummies when you squat (big problem with any jeans with my post-baby tummy- I can wear them if I'm standing upright, but the second I bend they dig into my stomach and it hurts like heck), and POCKETS---ladies' clothing is NOT made with pockets anymore, or if they are they can't really be called pockets. These overalls have pockets worthy of being called pockets!!!! I can carry my cell phone without it actually touching me through the fabric (it can cause cancer from low level radiation if you constantly have it close to your body- if you don't believe me, look up the 21 year old woman who had a tumor the exact size of her cell phone in her chest after tucking it into her bra then check back with me). It also has a hammer loop, and various other pockets (you can put nails in the bib pocket, etc) which makes this great for a lady DIYourselfer :DIf you're super short like me, you WILL need to adjust them for height. There's no contest there- they WILL be super long. It's nothing new to me- I've had to alter pretty much everything I buy at the store in length (hence why I sew my own clothes, for the most part) so I expected as much. For hardiness, I LOVE THESE OVERALLS. Dickies is a good brand- their stuff is sturdy, wears very well, and is tough enough for tough jobs. Until I found this, I hadn't been able to find ladies' work overalls ANYWHERE. It was maddeningly frustrating! If you're looking for a cutesy fashion overall, go to Walmart or the mall. If you're looking for good work outside/heavy work overalls that are functional and won't rip at the mere sight of a hammer or shovel or concrete blocks, then these are perfect <3

Perfect overalls for working in the garden
I have been looking for a pair of overalls to work in my garden for some time. These overalls are just the right fit. They are longer than I hoped, but the quality and style are what I enjoy the most.

Medium fit perfect.
I'm 5'3, 150lbs. Medium fits perfectly. The legs are a little long so I have to roll the bottoms. They are super comfortable. I practically live in them now. Fine for summer with a tank top. I'm sure in the winter with a ribbed long sleeve it will be stylish and warm.

nice overalls
I loved these overalls, unfortunetly I ordered the wrong size. They were soft and not hard like work overalls. I'm hoping I have reordered the correct size. I think they run big.

Not sure.
I wanted a pair of white bib overall for summer, and after much searching, I decided on these. They are a pure nice white, and good thick fabric, but they have some little glitches. What is the most annoying is the hooks. They were so tight they would not slip off of the buttons. I had to loosen them with pliers. Then too loose. Finally got them adjusted but still not right. I hemmed them 7 inches, but I am very petite so that's not a biggie. Easy to do. I cut them off and frayed the hem, it's a really cute look for britches like these. They were a size to big, but the xs was $25 more, irritating how the prices are on amazon. Why is an xs 3 times more than an xl?! I washed them in super-hot water and dried them hot and they shrank to an xs, so that part worked. I line fry everything, after the first wash. They are very good quality and very comfortable and I will enjoy wearing them for a long time, but the hardware could be much better/ I no longer give 5 stars to products just because. The best part of amazon is prime. I am 4'10 and weigh 88lbs and pay so much more than someone 5'8 and weighs 250...I don't get it.

Smells Burnt and straps are too short?
Opened the package and it smells so strongly of a burnt perm???Once i finally got the overalls on they don’t fit length wise? i sized up 2 sizes to try and get around the complaints in the reviews… and they fit so baggy but the straps are too short? the overalls go so far up my butt i can barley breath? worst wedgie of my life with them on the full length possible and i’m just 5’6 with a normal length torso?wouldn’t recommend.
