Yippee! Even an elderly female can repair the loo with the correct product.
Due to virus, I have been locked up in the house for months. Being committed to isolation, I am unwilling to invite repair persons into the house. The antique toilet chose this time to run constantly. Investigation revealed that the "pipe" had quite a buildup of "sediments" not allowing the tank ball to seal properly. (Sorry. Obviously, I don't know plumbers' jargon.) I was constantly running to the toilet to stop the water waste. I purchased other tank balls, hoping for a miracle. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM (at least until time passes and I can call a plumber). It seems that the weighted feature seals the problematic pipe (for now). Yippee! I might add that the "metal piece with the screw threads" (don't know the correct title) was too short. I used the piece from one of the other tank balls I purchased.

Easy and inexpensive, but needs a longer threaded rod.
This worked immediately to stop a slow leak in an old toilet. The threaded rod was about half an inch too short, but the rod that was in the old stopper worked in this one.

Falls right into place. No complaints, fantastic product.

Easy to Install
This tank ball is thicker than others I have tried; the added heft causes it to drop cleanly into position which enables a good seal onto the valve seat. If you have a very old toilet like my 3.5 gallon "antique", be sure to thoroughly clean off any mineral deposits or burrs from the valve seat prior to installation.

Unreliable junk. Don’t waste your $$$
I bought one of these almost exactly a year ago, to replace the ball flapper in my 1920s toilet. The previous flapper had been in use for over a decade before wearing out. This flapper wore out in barely over a year.Today when I went to flush the toilet this was installed in 13 months ago, no flush. Puzzled I took the lid off only to see that the rod had pulled the entire screw in portion out of the flapper. Nice.I thought I was lucky, because I bought a second to keep on hand after the first seemed to work well. After all, I have 2 1920s toilets in my house, and parts only seem available online. I pulled out the spare, went to install it, and noticed rubber where the rod screws in. I just screwed the rod in, cleaned up the area around where the flapper drops, turned the water valve back on, let the tank fill, and thought I was done.2.5 hours later my toilet was running. I put some blue food coloring in the tank and watched and waited. There was clearly a very slow drip based on how long it took the toilet to run after I swapped out the ball, and the very slow amount of blue accumulating in the bowl after some time.I opened the tank and watched. I noticed a little bubble where the rod screws into the flapper. The thing was leaking where the rubber meets the place where you screw the rod into the flapper. My guess is because, the manufacturer is too lazy to produce this product the right way, so if you get one filled with rubber in the screw in portion, while screwing in the rod, you inevitably end up with something that isn’t water tight, which makes the whole thing useless.Save your money. It’s a gamble. One worked fine, but only lasted a year. The second one was a piece of junk right out of the package.I’ve ordered a different brand off Amazon, which should arrive in a couple days. Hopefully I will have better luck with that one. Also, as many people have noted, the rod included, is useless and way to short for the majority of toilets that use a flapper ball.JUNK

Simple to install and it works.
This ball is inexpensive and it works well. Also trivial to install. I don't see the name/brand of the toilet but the toilet is ~70 years old made in USA.
