Island Fresh Organic MCT Oil
This was my first time trying MCT oil, after hearing about it from intermittent fasting and keto advocates. I've been doing a 16/8 schedule of IF every day for about 1.5 years now and achieved my desired weight loss of about 40 lbs. I've gradually been trying to drop extraneous sugars which come in products like cereals, even most of the supposedly healthy ones. I suspect that those kinds of foods may be contributing to periodic stomach discomfort. My vague understanding is that healthy fats, like MCT oils, should help to feel fuller for longer and prevent the urge to snack or load up on carbs.I chose this product because it seemed to have a good blend of the higher quality MCTs (caprylic and capric acids) for the cost. It also seemed to have a lot of good reviews, for whatever that's worth. But I've had a good experience with it so far. My typical use is to add about a tablespoon to my morning coffee. It has a nice flavor to it, and does indeed make me feel fuller and a little more alert for a little while. That could just be the placebo effect, but I'll take it :) I am sure there are many other uses beyond coffee waiting to be discovered. The only thing I don't like is that every time I squirt some oil, some of it ends up running down the outside of the nozzle, and I kind of have to lick it up to avoid losing it. Maybe a different kind of dispenser could be used to make this work more cleanly. Perhaps an eye dropper mechanism?

DON'T OVERDO IT! LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!!!
Pros:This item is good value- you get a good quantity of MCT oil for the price. It's easy enough to use. I add mine to my morning coffee and move on with my day.I'm doing keto, which can be constipating, so for me it's a pro that the oil gets things moving.Although the bottle says the oil is flavorless, to me it actually imparts a slight coconut flavor. This is a pro for me since I happen to like coconut, but I could see that being a con for some. I suppose you could call it a con that the advertising is not entirely accurate.Con:I only have one con, but it's a biggie- This product recommends a serving size of one tablespoon, which I didn't realize until too late you are supposed to work your way up to so your digestive system has time to adjust. I did not do this. At first, it made my stool rather loose, but I was cool with that By the third day, my stomach was grumbling and bubbling, and I felt rather bloated. That was trouble brewing. I stopped taking the MCT oil, but by then my fate was sealed. That night I had intense full-stomach stabbing pains that I would equate with labor pains I lost track of how many times i got up to use the bathroom. Light headed. Feverish. Miserable. Day 4 was more of the same. I had frequent sharp stabbing pains that would double me over. I was useless. By day 5, I was pooping blood & mucus, still visiting the bathroom more times than I care to count. I'm currently on day 6. I'm taking ibuprofen to fight off a lingering fever probably caused by inflammation, but my stomach has settled and I'm no longer pooping blood. HEED MY WARNING: DON'T OVERDO IT. Once my body returns to normal, I do intend to return to using the oil, however in a muuuuuch smaller dose than this bottle recommends, and with a greater measure of caution.

Good Stuff!!
So this was my first purchase of MCT oil so I don't have anything to compare it to. It truly is tasteless, colorless and odorless (for the most part - a ever so slight hint of the smell of coconut). They are NOT kidding about ensuring you dose up slowly and appropriately...using too much in the beginning can cause many trips to the restroom for the rest of the day and/or the following day. Measure and keep track of how it makes you feel and how it has worked with your GI tract. I used it in my coffee and it mixes pretty well - leaves small oil spots on the top of the liquid. I am taking it because I am a firm believer in medium chain triglycerides (mct) as a essential part of our diet, especially as we reach middle and older age. It has properties that help with brain functioning (aids and speeds signalling) and body functioning (if it helps with faster signalling in the brain, it will allow those messages get to the body faster).

Great oil
I'm very happy with this product. Negative reviews seem to be bc of an upset stomach or delivery issues. The product itself is great. You need to start out very slow (like half a teaspoon ) and work your way up. If you're fat fueled then you should not gain weight for this product. In fact I have it in my bulletproof coffee every morning and my energy levels are soaring. I do not get hungry until lunch time so it's definitely fulfilling.

Flavorless, odorless, effective for keto!
Organic MCT oil perfect for keto diet. It is truly flavorless and odorless. I add it to my coffee every morning and it helps keep me full for hours. It also makes my coffee creamy without it giving changing the taste if that makes sense. Easier to add to coffee than coconut oil that needs to be dissolved off a spoon plus coconut oil gives it that hint of coconut (which I don’t mind, but others may not prefer). Only 2 negatives for me: 1) is the way the cap is connected by 2 tabs as 1 broke off during shipping (not the seller’s fault) and the other tab is almost disconnected as well. 2) after pouring desired amount, there is always a little bit that leaks out onto the side of the cap. A quick wipe will do but if not it might eventually leak down the bottle and/or the surface it’s on. Overall great size and effective!

Bought this for my bullet coffee. I like it, odorless and the price is reasonable.
