I have been having the misfortune of getting constant UTI's - lately getting one every month. 😕 I have tried everything - D-mannose, cranberry pills, Cystex, and these Eight Righteous Teapills, trying to prevent getting another infection. Still, went to doctor yesterday and was positive for infection once again. But I've got to say that these teapills did ease much of the pain and terrible pressure, although unfortunately they did not cure the infection. I did order another bottle though, since the relief from much of the pain makes it worthwhile. I will always keep a supply of these teapills in the house so when and if I get yet another infection, at least these pills will ease the pain until I can get to the doctor and get another antibiotic prescription. So I do highly recommend these pills for relief of pain when you get an infection, but they won't take the infection away, or at least they didn't do that for me, unfortunately.

I first became aware of this product when my mother's homeopathic vet prescribed it to treat her cat that was suffering from a blocked urethra. A different vet wanted to do a very expensive, and potentially dangerous, surgery to remove the blockage, which can be fatal if left untreated. Instead she took "Max" to a homeopathic vet who prescribed a daily dose of 3-4 teapills for a duration of 4-5 days. Amazingly the Eight Righteous Teapills solved the problem. It's been about 10 years and the problem never recurred. I've since recommended these to several friends who were suffering from some type of urinary distress (kidney stones, infection..) and they all reported that the teapills worked wonders. I keep a bottle on hand "just in case" which I usually end up giving away to someone in need and then replacing. I've had frequent uti's for as long as I can remember, even as a kid. This past one was the worse I had ever had, ..lasting for almost two months. I went to the Dr. and got an order of antibiotics, Nitrofurantoin. They didn't even put a dent in it. I also got the D-mannose with cranberry, that did nothing. I tried mashed garlic, that did nothing. I drank several bottles of unsweetened cranberry juice, and that did nothing. After turning to Chinese medicine as a last resort, I found this. I read up on it, learned about "damp heat" and decided "hey, what have I got to loose?" After the first day of taking them, the burning sensation went away, ...the "uti smell" went away as well. Ladies you know what I'm talking about. I am now on the third day of taking these, and the only issue is I still have a tiny bit of "urgency" left, but that should be expected to take some time to heal, especially with a uti that lasted almost two months. I also combined this with a capsule of golden seal extract twice a day. Compared to everything else I have tried including antibiotics this is the only thing that helped at all.

I love this product. I have dealt with UTI's off and on over the years and after getting tired of the UTI/antibiotic/yeast infection cycle decided to try a different route. This works for me, every time. I've even gone into the Dr and been tested before and after taking this and lab results show that it wipes out the bacteria responsible for UTI's. My Dr thought i was taking antibiotics and even said "aren't you glad you got on antibiotics right away? See how fast they work?" I just smiled and nodded. These pills help alleviate discomforts associated with UTIs (like urgency to use the restroom, using the restroom frequently or in the middle of the night, bloating and heaviness, etc.). I've only been taking them for a few days now and have found some comfort, but it hasn't removed the issue altogether (perhaps with time that will change).One side effect I've noticed (and maybe it's just me) is the effect these pills have had on my metabolism and bowel movements (my diet has been consistent). Food practically runs through me, causing a BM 3-5 times a day. I'll see if decreasing the dosage helps.
