Love this headset. I keep it in my fly bag, and throw it on before takeoff whenever I suspect my landing may be after sunset.I like the white and red separate lights and separate switches. That means you don't have to cycle through white to get to red for your night flying. White is great for preflight check tho, inspecting control surfaces and whatnot.My only complaint about this is that I wish I could dim down the red a little bit. It's red, but it's still very bright--bright enough to wreck your night vision for sure (although not as bad as when you accidentally switch on the white instead).

And I don't mean "tacti-cool." This is the right headlamp for the right price. I've never had a Coast product break, so I haven't tested out the warranty. Having a "red light" and "white light" button means you don't need to cycle through a selection of weird settings before getting to the desired one. By the way, when was the last time you used the blinker setting on every other headlamp ever sold? Never. If not never, you must not be trying to be, well, tactical.Anyways, it's a great option to fit on the ACH without breaking the bank.

I have 4 of these for different situations -- one in the garage for repair work, 2 in bedrooms and 1 downstairs for power failure situations. It's perfect to be able to use and have your hands free. The light is adjustable to different angles which helps on projects to get the perfect focus. Secure fit without being too heavy.

This light is so much more comfortable and stable than my previous one. I've ordered a second one as a backup. My only criticism would be that the white light could be a little brighter.

We use ours feeding animals at night, looking for animals harassing chickens, all chores that puts us outside at night. excellent around camp too. Very bright. Hands free is most beneficial, much better than just a flashlight. Plan to buy more for our emergency bags.

high quality product.head band is very tight and uncomfortable fit even at the looses adjustments. ( i have normal sized male head)4 additional plastic clips came with product to attach god knows what to the elastic band.3 AA batteries came installed so this unit is ready to go.worth the 15 bucks as its life time warranted and built well.light in narrow focused but bright.

This is my 3rd one of these. I love the red light for when you get somewhere like up in your treestand and dont want everything around to pinpoint you. I also like the top strap it just more stable. Great light!

Warning this is the HL4, not the HL44. They are very different lights. It is rated to put out less light than the HL44. And the beam pattern appears to be different.This would be a good price for an HL44, but less so for the HL4. I searched for the HL44, and this was one of the hits. I didn't realize the mistake until after purchase. It's now opened and too late to return. Grrr...
