"Added features" = $$$+pain in the ass
The Embe claims to make swaddling easier, but in fact makes it waaaayyy more complicated than it need be.You will not aporeciate all of the bells and whistles when you're attempting to change, feed, burp, and soothe your baby at 330am in the dark. The 'quiet' fasteners couldn't be louder, as this swaddle sports enough velcro to circle the earth twice over, which means it sticks to everything it touches, especially in the wash. The zipper runs top to bottom, which you might find to be intuitive if you hail from Upside-Down World. We do not.Instead of two wings that wrap the baby, there is one long one, which means you will have to roll baby around awkwardly, unless you have a second set of hands to help.We opted for the burnt orange color. Big mistake. The cheap dye runs in the wash and spread though all of the other clothing. In summation, this swaddle takes something that should be quick and simple and turns it into an over-complicated affair, making the 4-5 night feedings & diaper changes a big hassle, at many times the cost of products that do a much better job, IMO.Save yourself the money and buy the Omni or SwaddleMe. Don't be taken in by another fancy-looking product claiming to solve problems you don't have and offering functions that you don't need at 3x the price or more. Simple is best.

Perfect for baby alligators
I love these swaddles (I have two, one for each twin). My babies were born at 29 weeks so they were in the NICU for 61 and 87 days. The nurses commented every day about how much they moved and how they always got out of their swaddles. A few weeks after birth and a few pounds later I went on the hunt for a swaddle that kept my baby alligators contained. These swaddles impressed me and every nurse. They commented on how much they liked them (once they figured out how to use them). We started using them in the NICU when our babies were around a month old and 4 pounds. They were big on them at the time but still wrapped around them and HELD them in!Pros:Easy to cleanContains arms from the strongest alligator babiesSuper strong VelcroKeeps babies cool with legs outOne of the biggest things the nurses and I liked the most was the legs out feature, which we used once the babies were around 6 lbs. NICU rooms are kept around 75-78 degrees and my babies got hot! The legs out feature was key in keeping them cool which in turn resulted in a higher oxygen rate and lower respiratory rate (important in the NICU).At that temperature (75-78) they wore a onesie and the swaddle (legs in). If worn with legs out then they just wore a light cotton sleeper and the swaddle. One con is that these things are dang confusing if you don’t read the instructions! Once I showed people how to use them they are so easy.Another con is that I don’t think you can actually change a diaper without waking the baby in the night unless they are a super heavy sleeper and you’re a ninja- not a deal breaker because I want them awake to eat anyways.Fabric bunching- I would get to the NICU in the morning and the fabric would be bunched around their faces which is primarily due to operator error. So long as you make sure that you pull the swaddle down once zipped and before swaddling there won’t be fabric bunched by their face. The more they are washed the softer they get. Our babies spent WEEKS in these things and they are washed A LOT. The Velcro is still just as strong and the color has held up great.Washing tip- zip up and Velcro all areas before washing so they don’t attach to other clothes.Photos show legs in and legs out - great for swings!Anyone who saw how they worked would comment about how much they liked them and said “we wrote that brand down”! I would definitely purchase for a baby shower gift!

Just buy one! It’s awesome!
I was really on the fence about buying this swaddle. As a mom of 3, I’ve tried SO many different kinds! I hate spending money on one only to find that baby doesn’t even like it. This one is a game changer though!!My little boy LOVES this thing! He won’t sleep unless his arms are down and it’s wrapped nice and tight. At first I didn’t like it because he’d work his arms up and out of the neck and wake himself up. I thought it didn’t work and was so annoyed I’d wasted more money on a useless baby product. But then I decided to try it one more time, wrapping it a bit more snug. And Voila! This thing is like magic!! I’m honestly dreading the day that he starts rolling over and can’t use it anymore (I’ve already bought the one with arm holes to help with the transition). The material is great quality, the Velcro works well, and I love that it has snaps to keep it from moving up over babies face. I haven’t used the legs out option, but it’s nice to know I can if needed. My advice is to buy at least two, so you can have a spare while one is in the wash.If you’re on the fence about purchasing this- just do it!!

Great product, but not for our tiny wizard.
The material and colors were beautiful! Unfortunately my Houdini baby was escaping it before I even laid her down. She’s a long little beanpole (94th % in height but only 40th% in weight) so the zipper section was pretty useless for us and there was no way to keep her tucked in while getting the Velcro just so in order to keep her arms down. It was a two person job and still didn’t work for us! But if you have a sweet lil chunky baby, I can see how this would be great! We ended up with the overpriced but highly effective Ollie swaddle ultimately.

A swaddle that has it all
This is our third baby, and I now know how much swaddling can affect baby's sleep (and parent’s sleep!). I love this swaddle. We had the Olli Swaddle with our second and I didn’t think it could get any better.I’m glad I was wrong! I love that you can swaddle legs out, and when you do so you secure the bottom with little snaps that don’t make any noise when you have to diaper change. I feel like the price point is very reasonable also. And it doesn’t hurt that you can get it in two days with Prime and can be on your way to better sleep!

Beautifully made
My baby is one month and 10 pounds now. She has plenty of room in this. She can't get her hands free, unlike the swaddle me brand. She sleeps amazingly in this beauty. I absolutely recommend these swaddles. There legs can be in for the cool weather and out for the warm. Also it washed well. Looks just like the picture.
