I was going to use it to seal the cuts on tree grafts. Until I opened the bottle and discovered it's like straight petroleum. Very stinky and sticky black substance. I'm afraid of the toxic components in petroleum so I'm not going to smear this on my fruit trees. I accidentally weed whacked the side of a rhododendron. I thought I might be able to save it. But alas, it died

I applied this wound dressing to my newly planted dogwood tree after removing some suckers last fall. It arrived promptly and was easy to use.

I love treekote! I use it for all of my woody plants and annual fig cuttings. It's also very useful for grafting. Lasts forever, and when it hardens just add water and mix. Fantastic stuff! Doesn't come out of clothing though, be real careful what it touches.

The size is perfect size to fit in my bonsai tool pouch. Incorporating brush in lid makes it easy to apply, and creates less mess. The brush is just the right size for applying to small bonsai trees. The product itself does a good job and patching wounds on my bonsai trees. I am very pleased with this product.
