Star Trek: The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Illustrated Handbook Plus Collectible (Star Trek Illustrated Handbooks)

This is a gorgeous well thought out coffee table book with an amazingly well crafted and screen accurate mini model ship. I was very impressed by the build quality of the miniature and the book itself has so much more information and detail than I could have ever imagined. If you are a fan of the original series and first six movies this is a must have!

While I loved the details of the book, the model had one of the thrusters broken. I am going to try and fix that with some crazy glue..

I saw many Amazon reviews of people ordering this book/model combo only to have the ship model arrive broken. Thinking the odds were small I took a gamble and placed my order. Of course the box arrived in perfect condition but the ship arrived in two separate pieces which isn't the norm for these Eaglemoss models. Nothing a little dab of Superglue couldn't fix.The book itself is great so maybe just order the book separately.

Very good book

The book is a good read. The model that came with it was not fully put together. The final part of the nacels attaching the star drive section was not glued together. I also the stripe on my bridge dome was painted crooked

I should have known better - I rolled the dice ordering this Enterprise NCC-1701-A after reading others reviews about it being broken in the package. Unboxed and sure enough it was broken in 4 pieces so will be returning this asap...

More attention to ship's systems and less to personnel and equipment would have been nice. 10 pages on TOS uniforms but none on the warp drive ? C'mon man. 😡 Plus the discoprise doesn't belong here. It's not part of the TOS/TMP timeline according to the show's producers and it's inclusion ruins the flow of the book.

If you're a classic TOS/TMP Fan like me and like the ORIGINAL Star Trek Cast and Crew, this book will leave you much to be desired. This book would have you believing the 2 seasons of "Discovery" has more to do with the origins of Star Trek than the original 1967 TV series, without which, no other Star Trek, including "Discovery", would exist PERIOD. A great book for "Drekkies" who want to wash away the original series canon. Not great for those of us who like the originals. You're better off hunting down an old "Star Trek Technical Manual" from 1975 on eBay or something on that order if you want the old Trek like me. Seriously.

The book is so well documented and the model was the cherry on top. Looking to purchase more books from this publisher

O livro é simplesmente maravilhoso para aqueles que são trekkers. Os que são apenas entusiastas de ficção científica também ficarão boquiabertos: capa dura, papel de excelente qualidade, impressão de primeira. O livro é importado e segue o padrão estrangeiro para livros. Irrepreensível. A miniatura que acompanha é outra atração:bastante bem feita e detalhada, a cereja do bolo, em excelente tamanho. A edição por si só vale cada centavo. O único ponto de atenção foi que a miniatura possui alguns elementos bastante frágeis e por algum motivo um deles veio quebrado. Como era um presente, fomos obrigados a colar rapidamente a peça e a sorte era que o ponto quebrado ficava escondido.

This book is beautifully illustrated, very descriptive, and interesting. It weaves together the photos and information from Discovery and TOS seamlessly. Although at this time, I have only read about half way through, I have looked it through completely, and look forward to finishing reading it. I really like the Enterprise model that comes with it.
