Good affordable 20 AMP GFCI
Product appears well constructed. Easy to install in an old work box; not too deep.

Tamper-resistant, 20-amp, GFCI, meets code requirements and all 6 I bought work fine.
In a nutshell: I bought and installed 6 of these and each of them worked correctly. So for that, 5 stars. The price I paid on Amazon was the same as that of the local big-box home improvement stores except that none of them had it in stock and it would've taken two weeks to get it if I ordered online from them, whereas Amazon got it to me in two days. Why did I buy these rather than 15-amp GFCIs?I chose to run only 20-amp circuits using 12-ga wire when finishing my basement. I know that I could put 15-amp receptacles throughout the basement as I may never need to plug anything in that needs a 20-amp receptacle, but I figured why not use 20-amp outlets everywhere since I'm DIYing the entire project and saving a ton of money as it is. These don't cost much more than a 15-amp GFCI, and call me vain but I think use of 20-amp receptacles is a small signal to others that the workmanship that went into the basement was good. Also, these are tamper-resistant, which is required by the inspectors in my county. Yes, I went through the pain of paying $700 for permits for my project and am doing this all on the up-and-up.Most of the receptacles I bought for my project are non-GFCI 20-amp, though I used a combo AFCI/GFCI receptacle in the basement bedroom for added safety though it's not required by the inspector at present. I would rather pay a little more for the protection these receptacles provide than not.

Before you install this outlet (assuming you’re doing it yourself), I highly recommend you search YouTube for this exact title:>>>>> “How to Install a GFCI Outlet, AFCI and Dual AFCI/GFCI Outlet | Leviton”Leviton produced a slick, informative, step-by-step, seven minute video that’ll make your work much easier and quicker.Leviton advises in the video that if you have more than 5 wires in a standard outlet box, then this 20 amp outlet might not fit for you (or else call an electrician). It’s a large outlet with a width of 1.69” and depth of 1.38”. I live in an older (1950s era) home, and it was a tight fit with four wires and two connectors. The outlet comes from the factory already tripped, meaning that after you install it and turn the power back on the outlet produces no power. You need to press the Reset button to turn on the power at the outlet. This will only work if you’ve correctly installed it. If you’ve correctly installed it, you’ll see a green indicator light.I purchased the brown-colored outlet. It is very dark brown. It fades nicely into my dark wood paneling (except for that very bright green light). The cover plate that I received with it has color-coordinated top and bottom screws. It’s not the screwless type of plate that was shown in the product photo on the day I purchased it.

Good value
Good value for the money and with my experience works as well as devices in the big box stores costing much more.

Great Item, but be sure about inputs and outputs
The device is clearly labeled, but you can be tricked by the original electrician. In my case, the Tech used one terminal as a 'feed thru' and it had two white and two black wires. Normally, you see double wires on the "Load" side - so, I wired it wrong. Make sure that you verify which wires are inputs (Hot) before you replace an older device. My electrician fed one black as an input and one as a continue wire to go to some lights down the line rather than other outlets. So, verify wiring on replacement situations.

Defective out of the box!
Brand new, installed correctly as per regulation and supplied instructions. Green light illuminated on outlet and it was non functional. Went to local hardware and picked one up because I couldn't wait to do the return.

Its Leviton, need I say more.
A bit slow on delivery, but I was in no hurry. When it arrived, it worked just fine. My wife is happy, and that makes me happy.
