sturdy & comfy
I've had children and adults on this hammock. We've set it up on two different beaches, couple of lawns, and a patio. The only time it was in danger of tipping was when it was not level (on a sand dune). The hammock is a little heavy, but I'm strong, so I just flung it over my shoulder with the rest of the beach gear. We have all thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in this hammock.I bought on for my dad for Father's Day in 2015. I found out yesterday, it broke after a few uses. (One of the sides gave out?) I wish he would have told me then. I could have seen if customer service would take care of a replacement.Mine still works. I took it to a campaign office and used it for cat naps and to escape certain volunteers.Tip: don't leave it in the rain.

Exactly what I had hoped it would be!
While I was mainly looking for a portable hammock for camping, I was hoping that it would be light yet sturdy enough to pop up whenever I felt like lounging about on a nice day. I'm glad I went with this one because it has filled that role perfectly. My brain isn't wired for assembly of any kind, so it took me more minutes than it should have to figure out how to set it up the first time. Once I got over that hurdle I was happy to see how quickly and easily it can be set up (particularly with 2 people). I keep it in the trunk of my car now and am more than happy to set it up quick if I'm at the park or enjoying a day outside in the sun. It's great for camping, and while I haven't done it yet, I could see it coming in handy for a beach day too.It does have some weight and length to it when folded up in the bag, so it's not ideal if you're going to have to cart it for a long walk. The bag itself is sturdy though with a shoulder sling. Also, it's not a long or wide hammock. I'm just a hair under 6' and weigh about 180 lbs. I think I'm towards the end of the height spectrum for those that could comfortably enjoy it and it's best suited for someone a few inches shorter than myself.Simple dual layer thin nylon mesh material for the hammock itself. Height is ever so slightly adjustable and leaves you a comfortable distance off the ground regardless. I imagine this will last a good while and I'm seriously considering getting a second one.

Great Portable Hammock - Highly Recommended!
This "Foldable Hammock" greatly exceeded my expectations! A link to this was posted on an website that I like as joke for people who want to knock off at work, but it seemed like it would be a good gift for my wife (not because she would slack at work, she owns a small business). We live in a very rural area and like to spend time outside at parks and on Appalachian Trail (which runs a few miles from our house) and we usually make a day of it when we head out. This hammock will make these outings much more relaxing. Here are my observations:Pros:+ EASY to Setup; just unfold the fully connected frame, select the height and width settings (making sure they match on all sides), and connect the netting+ High Quality; this is well made and very strong, we loaded it up with 360lbs (two teen aged kids) and it held fine+ Comfortable; We range from 5'3" to 5"10" and 165lbs to 240lbs - all of us find it comfortable (see picture in "Customer Images"), but vary in ease of getting in\out of it (the kids are much faster)+ Foldable; the frame folds to about the size of a foldable chair and fits easily into the included sturdy carrying case, while the netting fits into a pocket on the outside of the caseCons:- Strong Chemical Smell; the netting came with a strong smell that has significantly dissipated over time, but it took a few days- No Instructions; not sure if it was just missed on ours, but there were no instructions included at all. As noted above, setup was so easy we didn't need them but care and safety directions would have been nice to haveMisc:* The protective plastic on the frame was a pain to remove* The plastic end caps tend to pop out, making it important to check that you have them before packing upOverall, this is well made and convenient portable hammock that should last a very long time. I will likely like buy at least one more of these now that we know how good they are.Highly Recommended!CFH

I like it but there are problems
I bought the hammock and it arrived just in time for a camping trip. I didn't even open the box and just put the whole thing in the back of the car and left. When I arrived at my campsite I sat down and opened the box and pulled out a ton of paper. Really, the actual box within the box took up no more than a sixth of the space. That wasn't really a problem for me but seems a waste.I took it out, opened it up and found what looked to be a pretty sturdy frame. After I removed all the plastic it was really easy to set up so then I started looking for the hammock part. I found that the net hammock never came with it... Oh boy, well I called Amazon and they told me I'd have to pack it all up and send it back and they would refund the money. Dang... What a hassle. I don't want to send it back and I don't want my money back. I want the netting part of my hammock... That, evidently, is not an option no matter how I begged. So, another waste. They said that after they get my item back it will be ten days to two weeks before my money is refunded and then I can order another one.Although the stand looks good, in just the few minutes I spent with the case it comes in I had problems. The zipper pull came off and a seam on the top near the drawstring started ripping. Anyway, don't count on the cover at all. I guess I'll make my own.

Definitely worth it
So I bought 2 of these in 2010...figured I'd use them for awhile before I wrote a review....well life happened and I forgot...12 years later I'm still relaxing in my hammock! It's a bit faded from the sun but it's still as good as the day I got them! Definitely get your hands on one if you can
