WFCO WF-8712P WF-8700 Series Power Center Converter Charger - 12 Amp, Brown

Working great

Installed in the "living quarters" of a horse trailer. Added two SquareD breakers, a "coach battery", two 110V outlets and a 12V switch panel powering some lights and USB chargers. Works fine, runs a small A/C, fridge and any other AC items we need, no issues with heating which was my only concern since there's no fan.

Ordered for an upgrade on a tear drop camper. Fit well. Instructions on wiring could have been more clear.

This particular converter is 20 amp max, and no cooling fan.But works perfectly for out little popup.Very clear instructions. With duplex slim breakers could have 4 ac circuits, though not much room in the box for wires.I did not require all the 12volt circuits, so used one to power a cooling fan I added.

Much cheaper than buying it on RV sites. Good quality, fits well in popup camper (Coleman Santa Fe 2001).Not hard to install, but the installation guide could be more helpful. We used youtube videos, it made it easier.

Product came as exactly shown in the photos. Swapped out for the bad one in my camper and now my camper works great again.

Replaced Elixar-12 in pop-up camper with this, had to put different mounting bolts in, and this converter had a green instead of a brown wire just wire the green as if it was brown. Other than those 2 things the converter box was very nice seems to be better built than the last one. Fit the hole exactly in the camper. Also this was at my house in 3 to 4 days after ordering "AWESOME". Highly recommend this product.

I needed a replacement for my Centurion CS-1200 power converter in my 2000 Rockwood pop-up camper. I looked at several competitive manufacturers but settled on WFCO because it was the only one I found with the cUL electrical safety approval. It was only slightly taller than the CS-1200, but I was able to quickly adjust the opening in my camper with a rasp. The "instruction manual" was more of a specification sheet. No real insight as to how to connect the unit is provided. However installation was pretty straight forward. On the back page of the brochure in small print at the bottom is says "DC Circuits: 4 (3 Branch and 1 Battery)". The outputs on the actual unit are labelled "F1-F4". You'll want to trace the wires carefully to make sure you connect the battery to the correct output - which by the way is F4, and corresponds with the red wire. The enclosure is all plastic, I would have preferred a metal one, but it passed the cUL approval so I'm not concerned. I only used the open circuit breaker slot, and I found the existing filler plate for the second slot interfered with the installed breaker, but again not a big concern. So far I'm very happy with this unit. It does not come with the circuit breaker, or fuses for the F1-F4 circuits, nor does it come with strain reliefs for the 120V cables entering the unit.
