The Wonders of Nature (DK Children's Anthologies) Hardcover – Illustrated, September 3, 2019

I read this book every night with my 8 year old. I LOVE this series, but I loved space and ocean more. It may just be my preference, so I still have 5 stars. My son and I are going through every book in the series, and he (and I!) love it. I got National Geographic too, and that didn’t stand a chance against this series. Great photos, easy to read and understand. Chef’s kiss.

I got this book for my 5 year old granddaughter. She loves it. It may be a bit advanced for that age, but it works with some explanations. The book is beautifully illustrated, and the gold along the page edges are a nice touch.

I love just about everything produced by DK, but this Anthology series is a real stand-out. Contrary to the typical DK format - white background with lots of photos or illustrations - this artistic book has a single topic and artwork for each page. The cover is richly embossed. The quality is exceptional for the price. Buy the whole series for a beautiful collection!

I bought this for Christmas for my newborn son to start his collection of books but when it arrived I was BLOWN AWAY by the quality and craftsmanship. Not even to mention how gorgeous the illustrations were. The book itself is big, heavy and guilded in gold. It’s beautiful.The pages are beautifully done and they chose some amazing things to write about.I was so blown away by this book I decided to give it to my teenage daughter instead.As a teen it could go either way of course. She’d either love it or eye roll a thanks and never see it again.Not only was she just as entranced by it as I was but she’s chosen to bring it to show other family and friends when we visit others. She’s spouted off facts even I had no idea about! “Mom did you ever hear about the DRAGON TREE??? It BLEEDS when you cut it!!!”Thank you for creating a book so different and magical that it keeps everyone entertained no matter what the age!Will be buying the others for sure!

Beautiful book!!!!

I am on a mission to collect all the books serie fot this gold plated DK series.It is beautifully made with amazing secrets to learn in 30 sec of reading.I already have " An Anthology of our Extraordinary Earth" , " The Mysteries of the Universe " and now " The Wonders of Nature".Still have to buy 2 or 3 more and will have them all.

I love this series from DK and have several of the other books that I ordered from Target based on reviews that mentioned the books came damaged from Amazon. Amazon had a great sale so I decided to risk it and sure enough, it showed up in a huge box with no packaging and damage to every corner. So do buy this book, but buy from Target or elsewhere who ships it properly in a book box.

Parents loved this gift for their child & reported that the child loved it too. Good illustrations. A book that will last a long time.
