Not well written from an English composition standpoint
After reading the first chapter, so far, the writing style and structure is not that good. I feel like I have to try not to learn the the grammatical structures as I read the text, so I don't learn from it and get a low grade on English writing for my assignments. Hopefully it will get better... *As a note, I just read Erik's bio, and I see that the author(s) are Swedish. So I guess I should keep this in mind, and also the fact that this is a technical book, I shouldn't expect an eloquent composition.

A reminder for those who already know
The book includes pretty much none of the fundamentals. If you are already fully up to speed on 3G and already know something about 4G, it may or may not be of value. If not, you need to find some other way to get up onto the knowledge threshold.

Worthwhile book for anyone working on LTE and its new features
This is an updated version of the book by the Authors. It covers the base LTE aspects to the same level of detail as the previous books in the series and adds important sections on LTE-LAA/LTE-U, Narrow-band IoT, Relaying and Side-link Channels. LTE is an evolving standard and the base LTE standard is relatively straight-forward and intuitive. The evolution of LTE to cover new use-cases will be easy to understand with this book. There are alternatives, but this book provides the easiest access to the new topics in one place.
