Perfect for my situation. I work in a water puddling/moist environment as an ice resurfacer. I bought two pair of hiking shoes to let each pair a day's dry out every other day. These socks fit my work model perfectly. They are heavy/thicker on the bottom sole and light and breathable on the top part of the foot where the laces meet. I will likely be re-ordering these for work.

Socks good in snow too
These are nice thick comfortable socks. They seem well constructed and durable. Their thickness provides some extra padding which would be great for running. I know they are marketed for sports, but they are also great for winter. I walked through some snow in tennis shoes wearing these socks and their moisture wicking kept my feet dry and warm even though I am sure some of the snow got in my shoes. I am happy with the quality of these socks which fit both me and my husband (yes, women can wear them too). I would buy these again

Average Socks
I was hoping these would be really comfortable since they are rated so high here on Amazon. But they turned out to be just average socks that run on the small side. They really don't have much padding/cushion underneath and after washing them, they shrank up a LOT. I wear a 9 1/2 men's shoe and have a problem getting these socks on since they're really tight. Once on they do stretch out a bit but I find the overall comfort level and thickness of these socks average at best. I don't recommend them since there are much better options available.

Best socks my husband's ever had!
He keeps telling me how great they are: they have a thin layer of support on bottom, and it makes these socks superior. My husband is 70+, and was one of the first babies to have surgeries on his club feet.As a result, his feet are thin and vulnerable. These are the perfect socks for him.

Maybe not
Initially i liked but then started having the back to the heel rip. I bought multiple so it has taken a year but they are all at the same spot
