HVC Styrofoam 4/4 Violin Case

Good case will protect a wonderful electric violin.

Pleased with this good value violin case. Lightweight but has room for a shoulder rest inside and has a useful zip pocket on top for thin items. Not keen on the velcro wraparound cover for handles as I find it irritating undoing this to open the case but at least if you forget to zip the case up the violin won't fall out! Overall, very satisfied with this Hidersine case.

The fact that I bought this case to replace a Hidersine case that I bought 6 years ago is testimony to my satisfaction with the quality, features, and value for money of Hidersine cases.The red piping around the edge of the case and the Hidersine logo embroidered in red on the top of the case and on the lock flap, make this a stylish looking case. The addition of a tastefully positioned reflective stripe running the length of the case on its lid is a welcome safety feature.The outer fabric of the case feels more robust than my older case.The lock comes with a single key. The lock can be easily unlocked with 2 watchmaker screwdrivers. It is obviously not designed to prevent a determined thief who would not bother about the lock but would steal the entire case with its contents. The lock is obviously intended to discourage prying eyes and fingers. For extra security a small padlock can be looped through the holes in the zip tags.The depth of the case from top of the lid to the bottom of the case is 130mm, which is 20mm less than my older case, which makes it an easier fit on bus and train overhead lockers.The inside of the case is well designed, with 2 slots and swivel security clasps for 2 violin bows. An insert to accomodate a shoulder rest, and a spacious compartment for spare strings, mutes, string cleaner, sundries etc.Next to the security strap for the violin fingerboard there is a small space that is exactly the right size for a humidifier, which I've attached with 2 small pieces of velcro.The case comes with a protective cloth to cover the violin. This will protect the violin from being damaged in the unlikely event of a violin bow coming loose.The case comes with handles on the lock side of the case and on the top end of the case. There are also 2 shoulder straps, and 4 anchorage sites, giving the option of carrying the case over one shoulder or wearing the case like a rucksack with 2 shoulder straps.There is a zipped compartment on the top of the case for carrying music.
