This seat was easy to install, aside from my lack of upper body strength to remove the one doohickey that covers the fasteners. Once my SIL got it off, I was able to put it all together no problem. The color matched my toilet perfectly, too!

We bought a house built in the late 70s...toilets were a pale gray (use the photo on the left, that seems a little closer to what they are). Although we retiled, we never replaced the toilet. But try to find a matching color toilet seat? Almost impossible!We tried every pale gray we could find (and other than Amazon, no one actually sells anything other than wood or white, so I must have returned more than I care to remember). Finally called BEMIS to get color chips, but the customer service representative was able to determine the color simply by the age and toilet manufacturer. SILVER? Not even close to what I would call that color, but apparently American Standard did back then, so that's what Bemis calls it now.So I took a chance and ordered it, hoping it would match. Opened it and stood there with my mouth hanging open...it was EXACT! So I immediately ordered another. Both are in and look like they came with the toilet.Easy as pie to install and attach. Tighten the screws and then drop the seat on and flip the latch to the right. Unlock by flipping to the latch to the left and it lifts right off. No idea why people say this seat slides...maybe they didn't lock the tabs completely because this thing is on tight and is not going anywhere!Can't talk to the reviews about the color coming off when cleaning. I used a damp sponge to clean it since it was brand new, but based on what some here say, I won't be using harsh cleaners (and if it does happen, at less than $20, I'll just order another one).For those trying to match the color of any toilet other than white—I wholeheartedly recommend this! It comes in multiple colors (more than I ever knew toilets came in) and is half the price of what you pay at Home Depot or even Walmart. And if you don't want plastic, you can't beat this!

Very pretty color grey. Mounting was good, easy to install purchased twice. My only problem is…if you clean it with a harsh cleaning product the color comes off and I love bleach and Lysol. I would purchase again but in white!

This is a great item for the price, I made the mistake of buying a $90 seat from a well known company on here that was flimsy plastic & the latches broke within 2 years and scratched badly. This wood seat is well made, fits well, non slippery and is sturdy!!The only issue I’ve had is some toilet bowl cleaner drops got on lid and left permanent white spots, took the color right off. So use CAUTION with strong cleaners. Luckily I bought light gray for a black toilet as they didn’t have black lids, as I imagine the damage showing up on black would be a disaster!Otherwise this is a great bargain seat!

From just cleaning the toilet seat or wetness getting on surface has left water spotting on the seat part. From just normal usage the finish wore off very quickly . Do not expect a toilet seat to look like this after such a short time. Very dissatisfied with product.

I ordered this wood seat as I could not locate a color 162 Olsonite like we had for 20 years. The new seat was ordered on March 20 2020 and was received couple days after. It was installed right away. The shape and color did not match our round toilet perfectly like the Olsonite did but I said 20 years later, to be expected.End of March 2021, pretty much 365 days later, the paint on the seat at the front was wearing off. Almost as if it was sanded. We use Hertel to do our washroom so no harsh products. I also notice that one of the famous bracket had cracked as if it had been dropped.I reached out to Bemis per the site but Bemis said reach through Amazon. Hum? Out of luck.This model is not worth your money. spend a little more, solid plastic in the Classic series and get something that will last.

Quality as described...pleased with the colour...fits perfectly.

Have to be careful with what cleaning products I use on this. Some with more bleach actually strips the colour from the product. Luckily this happened on the bottom part of the seat and I will know for the future. Colour and quality is great!
