I really love this hair iron. The color is so cute and pretty. It comes with a heat resistant cap, which is super useful when you want to put it away quickly and not have to wait for it to cool. It also Coke with a pouch that acts as a mat. The pouch is average - nothing to write home about. I think my favorite part of this iron is that the base of the cord swivels with your movement so the cord doesn't get tangled or twisted up. The other thing I love about the iron is that it literally heats up in like 3-5 seconds. The only minor complaint I have is that when I'm getting ready to use the iron and slip it out of the cap, it releases the plated end so that end springs open and forces the other end to pinch my hand. I'll just have to be more mindful when I'm taking it out.

the product gets hot - like SUPER hot, I can hear my hair sizzling!! (On dry, not damp hair). I wish there was a function to control the temperature, like a hi-lo or even a dial.Yes, it does the job and will straighten your hair super fast. However if you want gentle waves you need to be extremely quick, leave it on any section longer than a second and it'll end up looking more crimped than curled.Works but worried about how much damage it's doing to your hair. Also says "2 free gifts" but kind of misleading, it's just a bag and a pad that comes standard with most other type of hair styling irons.

I bought this flat iron because it was on sale. If it had been listed for anything near the $99.99 retail price, I wouldn't have gotten it - but it's a bargain at $35 or less. I have thick dark hair with a slight natural wave, and it does take a fair amount of heat to get it to do what I want. On adjustable irons, I usually end up using a setting near the top. On this iron, there's no way to adjust temperature, but it seems quite hot. It's hot enough to work on my hair, anyway. If your hair is thin and delicate and it burns easily, I would recommend using a different iron where you can adjust the temperature and use the absolute minimum you need for your hair.I may still end up buying a nicer flat iron in the future, but I'm traveling a lot this summer and this thing is going to take a beating. I love that it comes with a pouch/mat, too. That should come in handy when checking out of hotel rooms in a hurry.

This ceramic hair straightener by Heiz is so great for a fraction of the cost of my old one. That swayed my decision plus seeing the pictures some of the girls posted and their hair looks so shiny and wonderful after using this straightener. I have super straight hair and it won’t hold a curl to save my life, I started using hair straighteners to curl my hair instead and even without hairspray it holds a curl for me (I like the messy loose curls) but if I want a tight curl or need it to last through an event then I do use hairspray for extra hold. The way it’s built too is to minimize your hair from being pulled or getting stuck in the corners of the straightener which I really like, especially with curling hair I would have that happen to me somewhat often and now it happens a lot less. I love that they give you a few extras like the heat clamp and the heat matt too so you have safe way and place to put it down. I’ve had a friend drop her straightener and then stumble and step on the open clamp, not a great day. So I definitely appreciate that.

Bought this flat iron 18 months ago. Was looking for a new one after my 12 year iron started to fall apart (was not a CHI but a competitive company in 2006 and worked great!) Was not looking to spend a fortune and needed something that was dual voltage since I travel A LOT. Never was super impressed but it worked as a straightener, was never able to achieve smooth/bouncy curls, and tended to leave lines in my hair... Regardless heated well and traveled well,l until I was in Montreal 3 months ago and it suddenly stopped turning on. I thought it might be from the voltage but noticed it was a 110 outlet.. seriously confused I was going to cut my losses but when I returned home I came across the original box and found the 18 month warranty. The warranty slip said to go to the website to redeem, seemed easy enough, except a link for a warranty was NON EXISTENT. Thank god Amazon worked with me and helped me with an email to a contact who I NEVER received a response from. After a few months of communicating back and forth with amazon and battling with a few customer service reps I JUST received a refund. Buy something else, although it seems unless you spend a fortune on a straightener, a year is all these cheap irons are good for. GOOD LUCK!

The flat iron worked wonderfully until about 6 months after I purchased it. After that, it just stopped working, and I can't find ANY information on this so-called "18 month extended warranty." The Heizbeauty website does not have any warranty or contact information, and Amazon was only able to provide me a number to Karen Deals who sells the item. I'm a fan of inexpensive beauty products, but claiming there is a warranty when there actually isn't one is not okay with me.

I bought this flat iron after my previous one had broken( I have used a CHI for about 5 years or so). After looking around the Amazon and reading the reviews, this was the straightener I chose to get. There are some negative reviews, but still there were enough higher ratings to choose this product. This straightener delivered really pleasing in the appearance. It came in a beautiful black and pink box and had heat pouch and glove which seems pretty and useful. This HEIZ has replaced my CHI and has exceeded all of my expectations. It doesn’t burn my hair at all or pull them out, and left soft and shiny after use. I received this about a month ago and it's still working just as well as it did the first day. I absolutely love this straightener and am so happy that my CHI broken, because if it didn't I wouldn't have ever taken a chance and discovered this amazing product. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!
