I’ve been using makeup applicators to clean my firearms since before the Iraq war. Saw these a d thought they’d reach the hard to clean spots down in the firing group where qtips snag and leave strings on hammer springs. These solve everything. Spray brake cleaner on the all metal parts use clensoil on a swab on everything else. I clean my AKs with no more than 5 swabs. 3 for a Canik to spotless.

We use them to clean the heads on wide format printers every day. They are lint free and perfect for that application

I build wood strip canoes with scuppered gunwales. These work great for both cleaning the scuppers and for subsequently applying spar varnish in the tight spaces. A typical brush, even of high quality, is not able to apply a smooth coating as these swabs are able to do. The foam applicator does swell a bit, but they are economical enough that replacing them is and easy decision. Great purchase and great value for the money!

I use these to clean circuit boards with flux remover and isopropyl. They work well for that as they don't shed fibers or shred when they catch on all the sharp bits and the materials hold up well to the chemicals. The wife often finds reasons to steal a couple off my bench too. If you need a swab that's not going to shed like a cotton swab then this may be a good choice. Although this particular size is quite a bit bigger than a cotton swab there are other sizes.

I use these to apply alcohol inks to my tumblers. They are perfect for aging a woodgrain style. Perfect lines every time!

These absorb really well but almost too well than expected. The amount of liquid it absorbs is a lot more than I would like but regardless they work!

First, let’s get this out of the way: they feel so good against the skin. You could hypnotize someone with that.I used these in scale models to mop washes, apply pigment, glue cleanup and what have you. They have performed very well at all those tasks.
