I've been buying this brand for my fiancé for a few years now and he loves it. He's extremely picky with soap products, and I'm very sensitive to scents - even subtle ones, like for instance I gag if I get a whiff of Dove soap or Irish spring.Outlaw has the absolute best scents for men, hands-down. The brand trumps all other soaps in the category (Dr. Squatch, etc). The price is reasonable for the high quality. These products are handmade by a small company and we are hoping they stay in business forever because their products are just outstanding. Ladies, this is exactly what you want your man to smell like. The leather notes are just perfect and some of these actually remind me of Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford, which is one of my favorite male fragrances! There is no other leather soap that compares.

I was extremely excited to try this soap. The moment I read about the sent, I had to order some. Delivery was fast and prompt, just like the Pony Express of the Wild West.Upon opening the bag, the amazing scent began to rise. Once it hit my nose, it was as if Wyatt Earp's ghost had been released and pistol whipped me across the face with his smoke wagon. In the distance, I could hear The Duke whispering "If you've got them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow." Let me tell you, Outlaw Soap had me by the balls, and I couldn't wait to try this stuff out.Later than night I used it as I took a shower, it was as if I could hear Davey Crockett telling the people of Tennessee that they can go to hell, because he was going to Texas. Foamed up very nice and left my skin and olfactory bulb very satisfied.Speaking of satisfied, I jumped into bed with my fiancé and boy let me tell ya... There is something in there that she couldn't resist. Now, me coming home smelling like gun powder is nothing new to her. This time, she was like a lioness, and I was a gazelle. She wanted to get me.Would diffidently recommend, and will be buying more. A little on the pricey side, but we make money to spend it. Spend it on this.

I don’t think it’s a good return on the money spent. I’ve gotten similar sample sizes for free. It fit my needs though as I was interested in the variety of scents they had on offer. The soap lathers good, the scents are as described and my skin has felt great. I wish they all offered some level of grit as only one does. The scents don’t last. In my experience they fade almost immediately. As for the scents themselves I can say they are pretty on point. If you don’t actually like those smells I’d stay away. I myself wish I could smell like black powder all day.

I feel really conflicted about this review. I know it's a small business and reviews make or break them, but I also don't want to let people make a subpar purchase without warning them.First, the smell. I bought it for my husband for a stocking stuffer because of the gun powder claims. He's a Marine and the smell of gunpowder makes them all hot and bothered. Unfortunately, this smells nothing like gunpowder. I realize that it's probably an incredibly hard scent to recreate, which is fine, but I also expect for it not to be marketed as gunpowder scented if they haven't been able to replicate said scent. He did enjoy the scent but it wasn't gunpowder.Second, the value. This bar of soap disolved faster than any bar soap I've ever used. I think he got less than a month out of it. For comparison, I'm using the same Dove beauty bar that I bought a month before Christmas. (today is Feb 8th). The bar of soap my husband was using before this was received in October and only just had the tiny scraps thrown away today as I cleaned the tub.Which brings me to my third point. The dye used in this product is AWFUL. It bled like crazy and stained my tub, which is why I was cleaning said tub. The black dye was the worst offender. From the little ledge where my husband keeps his soap down to the drain, there was a trail of black/gray from the colorant. It was irritating and despite my scrubbing it hasn't completely come off. I'm going to try again later this week, so I have some hope, but it's definitely time consuming to clean it up.Would I buy this again? Yes, with some caveats. The first is that the dye formula is changed. I don't know what kind of colorant they're using, but it needs to go. Bars of soap shouldn't have the potential to leave grime on your body.The second is that the price needs to go down. It wasn't worth what I paid for it. I'd happily pay $5 for this but I would never reorder it at this price and at this formula.My final caveat would be that the scent description is updated to be something more honest.
