Firmer covered wire good for many things.
Although this is for tying up plants, I have yet to use it for that. Because of its size it works well for other tasks in the garden and out. First of all I like that the wire and covering seem more firmly bonded together than other covered wire I've used. This seems to make it easier to work with and less chance of the wire poking out the end where it can end up poking me.In my office I use it for holding coiled cords together. I have a number that hook various gadgets to the computer when they need to be synced, charged, photos uploaded, scanned or whatever. I roll their cords up and secure them with a length of this wire when not in use. Keeps my drawer neater and it's easier to extract the cord I want. In the kitchen some electric gadgets have longer cords than needed to reach the outlet. I coil and secure the excess so it's out of the way. Same with the battery chargers for my various battery powered tools. Besides cord containment, I find there are plenty of other things that are easier to deal with when grouped and secured together temporarily. For example, when I pack away winter shirts and pants that are normally hung up, I'm left with lots of empty hangers I don't need in summer. They are better behaved when I wrap a length of this wire around them until I need them again. When I prepared my vegetable gardens this spring I added trellises in different places for vine type plants and those that can be trained to go up rather than take up precious ground space. I used this wire to link multiple ones together to give them stability. Worked great. Because the wire with coating is pretty slender, I could easily cut it with my multi-tool wire cutter. As the plants grow, I'll use the wire as intended to get the plants trained and secure on the intended trellis. Same deal with the chicken wire I put around a new shrub to protect it from deer until it's gotten bigger. I created a tube of the chicken wire that encircles the plant and even hooked the temporary enclosure to the fence to give it more stability.I've used several kinds of coated wire for gardening and other purposes and find this the most versatile.

Garden Ties
Soft garden ties does not damage plants

Easy to use. Soft, flexible and sturdy enough to hold a branch in place.
I used this product to bend and train my plants to get more light. You can attach directly to the branch and anchor it down to the pot or to a stake. This product works great. It is much better than trying twine around tiny plant stems, and much easier to remove too. The best part is that it is re-usable again and again. You will have to cut it into the size lengths you will need for the job. But the wire inside is thin enough to cut with household scissors.Good stuff guys. Wish I started using this along time ago.

Cheap, versatile and can be reused
I've used these for fixing tomatoes to stakes for 3 years now. Easy to use, just cut the length you need, and twist. They hold very well. They can be reused.

These worked great on all the garden plants.
I usually use twine but saw these and bought them to assist with tomato plants and the cucumber plants. They are so easy to use and gentle on the plants. There were a few times as the plants grew that I needed to adjust them. So easy! I will be able to reuse them as well.

Great for all types of plants!
This is a great garden essential. It is so easy to use and certainly much better than other alternatives such as twine, which often damages plants. It's quite easy to waste these ties, so cutting set lengths beforehand would be wise. The most important aspect of these garden ties is that it is soft, but very versatile. I've used these ties on my blackberry and cherry trees with ease. I'm planning to use these next on my climbing roses, a bigger card length and lower price would be greatly appreciated, no seriously just joking these are already reasonably priced. These ties work well, and I couldn't criticise the quality, even as a keen and stringent gardener. With that being said, I would have no hesitation in recommending these garden soft ties for keeping plants in their place. If you found my review helpful, please click the "Yes" or "Helpful" button to state this so I know its been a help to someone. Thank you!

Rubber cracks
When you use it on plants in the sun the rubber will crack after a few weeks, exposing the wire inside. Not sure how long I will be able to use it. Other ties bought in the past didn't crack and you could re-attach them to the next plant.

Definitely superior plant tie
I ordered this mistakenly thinking it was "just" soft plastic. In fact there is a metal wire running through the centre which is then covered by thick squidgy plastic so as not to damage plants (other makes have a metal wire covered only by a thin layer of hard plastic - not nearly so good!). The result is a very strong tie, great to work with but still soft and pliable. At £3.49 for 8 metres I reckon it is good value for money.

Good, but stretchy
I used these to tie back bamboo to ensure they're not damaged in high winds. The ties do the job OK, but tends to stretch. I tied them tight, but after recent heavy winds, I've noticed they are now a bit slack. Still, a good buy, and they blend in with the foliage well.

Great invention
Works nicely for tying up my tomatoes. Snip a few inches off with the secateurs, bend round the cane and stem, and twist. It's so nice to have wire ties that don't bite into your fingers, why did it take so long to invent this stuff ?
