Very easy to set up!
Great product and it really worked for my needs.

Waterproof and reliable sensor
Among other things, I use one of these RAB sensors to turn on/off the lights in my shower. It gets wet every day and worked flawlessly for 5 years and counting. That's what I expect from a sensor. However, this one has been more reliable than others so it's worth mentioning. On the minus side, it comes with the wrong gasket, which is sized for a standard toggle switch. I had to make my own gasket, which is no big deal, but it would have been nice to get the right gasket out-of-the-box, especially since this sensor comes with a custom, oversized wall plate.

Only good in shaded protected areas.
It is nice to have a sensor that mounts flush to the wall in a switch box. However these sensors do not last long in the direct sunlight. I have had 5 sensors 2 protected under a porch patio area that lasted 5+ years, and the two in the direct sun died in about 24 months. The one on the north-facing wall that is basically always in the shade, is going on 3 plus years now. They are too expensive to die in 2 years. From what I can tell the motion Shield oxidizes and cracks and then it stops working.

Well functioning sensor
Performs well but does need replacement in less than 10 years

No longer weatherproof
We had these on both our exterior lights for over 10 years and they worked well. Unfortunately they were both damaged during storms earlier this year so we decided to get new ones. We replaced both of them a few months apart and they quickly stopped working as they filled with water during recent rains (see photos). They way our exterior lights are installed the motion sensors can only be replaced with the exact same ones or the whole lighting system will have to been redone. It's a lose lose situation at this point.

It works
Easy to install but the timing adjustment for lights to stay on has to be played with

Should last longer
This is a great product concept - a motion sensor that you can put in line and turn on lights that are wired to it, rather than directly mounted to it. That means I can use it to control two lights on my garage that are attractive, rather than just floodlights mounted to the motion sensor like you often see. It's easy to install as well--just mount to a normal wall box. But, these do not last long. In 5+ years, I've had to replace them twice. The first one lasted less than a year, and RAB replaced under warranty. The second one stopped turning the lights on in the cold . . . it's about 4 years old and when I called RAB they said the lifespan is typically 5-10 years. Certainly no offer of a free replacement.

Does the job exactly as I was hoping it would!
Works perfectly and does exactly what I wanted. I bought this device because I wanted a sensor that I could attach to a light switch and toggle the switch to keep the light on all the time if I needed to. I've installed this by my front door to turn on the lights at the door and it works just the way I want it to. I hired a professional electrician to install it. Easy to adjust the time, sensor sensitivity and the sensitivity to light.
