Worst hot pot I’ve had so far.
Self heating didn’t get to the heat level I expected. Also, This hotpot is extraordinarily greasy and high in sodium. If you have any sliver of blood pressure issue then stay away from this. As for taste, it has a strange spice to it. I can’t explain it because it’s unlike any spiciness I have tasted before. My spice tolerance is fairly high. If I had to describe it, I’d say it tastes like chemicals and burns your tongue like chemicals. My wife and kids, who loves trying all kinds of hot pots, agreed with me to throw the whole thing out after a few bites because our mouths felt like it had been rinsed with acid.

Numbness of mouth and indigestion
I don’t generally spend time writing reviews but I had to get this out there. I saw something similar to this on a Chinese drama I was watching so I wanted to try it out. I was so excited when I received the shipment today that I prepared it right away for dinner with my two girls. The instructions were easy to follow and I was amazed at how well it worked; however, I’m not so sure about the taste... LITERALLY! I couldn’t taste anything due to my mouth being completely numbed. I grew up eating really spicy food so this level of spice is considered mild to me. Never in my life have I ever felt numbness in my mouth like this except for when they use local anesthetics at the dental office. My girls and I felt instant numbness of our tongues with the just first bite. I honestly thought that it was due to a high level of spiciness but after trying a couple more bites and my whole mouth, lips and throat were completely numbed, I knew something was not right. It felt like I was ingesting poison. It took a good 30 minutes for the numbness to completely wear off but then I started to get indigestion. I had to force myself to throw up because I felt miserable. I love the idea and the invention but I’m very worried about the safeness of the food.

Very good!
Item came arrived very quickly...in perfect shape and exactly as advertised. High quality ingredients, heating and soup bowl, spoon and chop sticks. Super easy to use as you have probably already read...add all the truly VERY VERY nice and fresh looking ingredients ( 4 sperate packages - no dry dehydrated stuff .. only very tasty fresh ingredients you can literally eat right out of the package if you wanted ) put them the white bowl then add a little water to the line on the bowl and mix around nicely to blend the suace. Then add water to the black bowl to the line in the bowl - not very much- and open the self heating pack and set it in the water. Then put the white bowl in the black bowl and put on the lid to keep the heat in. Within about a minute you see steam coming out of the vent of the lid. After 15 minutes - I waited 17 .. open the lid and you have a big bowl of delicious hot pot meal. You can leave the white bowl in the black bowl to eat it..the little water in the bottom of the heating bowl is pretty much gone or obsorbed into the heating pack.It tastes really nice...it has a fresh home cooked flavor that makes you want to eat every drop - everything is quality and actually looks like it was just prepared from fresh ingredients. I immediately ordered another one with a different flavor and I will keep buying them.NOTE: The chopsticks are nice quality and they come in two pieces ( to be able to fit in the package) and you just snap them together... they are so nice you can wash them and use them over.

OMG!
I have seen these on Korean shows I watch but never know what you call them so I can try. I don't like spicy so I bought the Tomato one. It has a unique flavor, I suspect the picked vegetables that come with added to that flavor and it was perfect. I would buy mote but the price is like a little to high. Not for my budget but on principal. I did splurge and bout a few but thats it. I can go to the city and get it for much cheaper I think if I really want more after use these. But it was delicious. Cant speak to the hot and spicy ones though. For those who said the instructions were vague or just not enough. If you take the label of carefully clearer instructions are on inside. Easy Peazy

Vague instructions
Instructions are very vague as to how much water to add a not the black pot. We actually wrecked this $15 hot pot instant pot thing because of the instructions.

Too pricy—-more expensive than restaurant prices
good but too expensive, I saw on you tube someone got them 2 for $10....Trying to find out where. I love semi spicy food but this is punch you in the face spicy!!! It is not a pleasant heat. Its overwhelming, I do love the product but will not order the spicy flavors again, ill order the other flavors and add in my own heat so that I can adjust it to my liking. I do love the vegetables that come with it, lotus root and kelp/seaweed (not sure which one it is) but they are very good!!!

Be patient with the heat
Packaging: Pretty good, packed with shrink wrap and easy to understand instructions (see inside once you take off the cardboard- try to keep in tact instead of tearing it off)Items: All food items were there as well as a plastic container for cooking and reusable spoon and chopsticks in a separate package (a nice surprise!)Heating pack: Took it out of the plastic and once I put it in cold water, put the food in and covered, I thought the heat would come. It didn’t. Jabbed it more into the water with a spoon for a minute or two and still nothing. Waited some more and all of a sudden the packet swelled and started steaming, so, I guess I recommend being patient for this part.Taste: Ground beef comes in a ovoid patty form (smells a little like the beef in hormel chili), tomatoey / processed beef flavor broth, and pickled vegetables were nice and crisp rather than mushy. Lotus root tasted like water chestnuts with some bite. Also, some black fungus, potato?, unidentifiable green vegetable/ seaweed, cabbage? And bamboo shoots? were present. A good mix. Vermicelli was perfectly cooked. Toddler-approved noodles.Would buy again? Maybe. Interested in trying different flavors. Nice for a long car ride, camping, or if you’re in a situation where it is tough to get some decent food.

Don’t buy it if you’re in Canada! It cost me $30 for one!!
I ended up paying almost $30 and thought I was getting at least 4 meals. I received one (1).Unless I’m getting steak -$30 for one meal is ridiculous and I felt foolish
