These are good quality non-metallic washers, in a nice compartmented plastic box. There is a great selection of sizes, both ID and OD, and a really good quantity for the price. They will make good electrical insulators, and be great in applications where a metallic washer is not practical or possible, and also where an "elastic" rubber or polymer washer wouldn't be the best choice. I'm not sorry at all that I made this purchase. Very pleased.

Red fibre washers are a bit old-fashioned nowadays, but they are important for certain speciality applications like fuel and oil lines on classic motorcycles. Of course, while the metric sizing may work for some situations in the above application, they won't work for others. However, it's good to have this kit as backup. If you have a set of SAE hole punches you could easily modify the washer in a pinch. The washers are a bit thin at 0.8mm thickness. Most of the older red fibre washers are easily 1mm thick. But this isn't a big deal.
